Make a Remarkable Card with Rectangles

Welcome to another edition of Make It With Mary Monday where together we kick start each week with a little creative fun. Today’s simple card layout for Make It With Mary Monday #23 uses rectangles of paper behind a centered focal point. Use rectangles cut from card stock, Designer Series Paper, Specialty Paper, whatever your heart desires!. You can even use scraps to make them. The possibilities are endless when we mix and match papers as we get our creative juices flowing.

In this demonstration, the card I make uses products from the Bloom Boutique which includes the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper, and Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set & Dies. In addition to the card I make, I’ll show you additional cards using the same simple card layout but with other papers and stamp sets.

You do not need to have any of the products I use in this video. Use any stamps, ink, and paper you have. Prepare your card stock and/or Designer Series Paper according to the dimensions given. Then make a quick card with me as you watch my Make It With Mary Monday #23 video. And by crafting along with me, you’ll have a card ready to send to someone special this week!

I hope you love the versatility of the simple card layouts I introduce on each edition of Make It With Mary Monday. So come along now, and enjoy a few minutes of crafting with me.

Make It With Mary Monday Easy Card Making Demonstrations premiere on my YouTube Channel Stampin’ Peace with Mary Knabe every Monday at 10am ET. And I follow up with a blog post here on StampinPeace.com. These weekly Make It With Mary Monday demonstrations typically run less than 15 minutes and are a sure way to start each week on a positive note with a little crafting fun. I hope you’ll join in the fun each Monday morning.

I love the versatility of the easy card layouts I demonstrate in each Make It With Mary Monday video. Take a look at more cards I made with the same card layout I used in this Make It With Mary Monday demonstration.

Note that on the card on the right, I added layer of card stock behind the 4 rectangles (3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″) and that the background layer is slightly larger (4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″) than on the card on the left and that it is cut from Velvet Meadow DSP instead of card stock.
