Lily Of The Valley Textured Background

Happy May! Another month of learning, sharing, growing, and BLOOMING in all ways. And being that May’s flower of the month is Lily of the Valley, it is fitting that the card I share today was created with the Lily Of The Valley Stamp Set and Dies from Stampin’ Up!

But first a little back story…In a recent YouTube Live, I demonstrated how to create a Textured Background for your handmade cards using Dies. It’s an easy and fun technique that gives stunning results like on the Fern & Flora card below. Click on the photo below to see my blog post about it if you missed it.

As we welcome the month of May today, I’m excited to share a gorgeous card I made using the Textured Background Technique with the Lily Of The Valley Stamp Set and Dies. Note that I stamped the pair of leaves multiple time before die cutting them and adhering to the card stock layer to create the Textured Background. The stamping adds another element of interest and dimension to the Textured Background Technique.

Dimensions for Lily Of The Valley Card shown:

  • Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
  • Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Card stock textured background layer = 4 ” x 5 1/4″
  • Card stock layer behind flower layer = 4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″
  • Card stock layer for flowers = 4 1/4″ x 3″
  • Card stock for sentiment = 3″ x 3/4″

I’d love to see your handmade cards and paper crafts you made with Textured Backgrounds. Please share then on my Stampin’ Peace VIP Group on Facebook.

Wishing you peace, joy, and happy stamping.
