In today’s post, I’m sharing some simple yet elegant cards I made for some Fall Birthdays this month. This set of Simple & Elegant cards features a stamp from the Autumn to Remember Stamp Set. I love this little trio of trees, and they look wonderful in the 4 Stampin’ Up! colors I chose – Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie – all perfect for Autumn Cards. Using the maple leaf in the Autumn To Remember Stamp Set in those same colors would also make lovely Autumn Cards.
And when it comes to creating Simple & Elegant cards, I often gravitate to Very Vanilla and Gold. These two elements alone scream elegance. I also love using this combination of Very Vanilla and Gold in making Christmas and Holiday Cards as well as Autumn Cards.
While I made this set of cards for birthdays using a stamp from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set, switching out the sentiment allows you to make and send these for so many different occasions – Thanksgiving, gratitude, sympathy, thinking of you, congratulations, support, and on and on, Or don’t put any sentiment on and use them as note cards to keep in touch with family and friends.
So gorgeous! And what a great set of handmade cards to give as a gift!
Cutting Dimensions for Simple & Elegant Fall Cards:
- Very Vanilla card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Very Vanilla embossed layer = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Very Vanilla for stamping = 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
- Metallic Gold layer = 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
- Very Vanilla layer = 2 5/8″ x 2 5/8″
Wondering how I stamped, punched and added such a tiny sentiment to these cards and got it straight? Believe it or not it was soooooo easy. Take a look at the photos below to see how I did it using the Keeping Tabs Punch in a totally different way. Notice that when I stamped and punched the sentiment, I left some blank space above it allowing me to tuck the top under the layered squares on my cards.
I definitely glad I added the Autumn To Remember Stamp Set to my collection. I’ll be using it for both card making and scrapbooking! Consider adding it to your collection as well.
I hope that after reading this post, you feel inspired to create Simple & Elegant cards of your own.
Thanks for stopping by. Please let me know how I can be of service to you.
Wishing you peace, joy, and happy stamping.
