Bits & Pieces

Over the last few months, I’ve been doing a “Bits & Pieces” Challenge with my team. Team members sign up voluntarily by the 7th of the month. Then on the 8th of the month, I send each of them a small selection of coordinating consumable products – piece of DSP, card stock scraps, ribbon or trim, embellishments, etc. Each kit varies in contents but is similar to the others. Team members take a picture of the contents they receive in their “Bits & Pieces” kit, then creates a card or other project using at least some of every item sent to them along with any other current Stampin’ Up! products of their choice, like stamps, punches, dies, additional card stock, etc. Then they post a picture of their finished card or project along with a picture contents of their kit to our team Facebook group.

The purpose of the monthly Bits & Pieces Challenge is to think outside the box and to inspire one another. I always look forward to seeing what each person creates. There is no competition or prizes involved. So in reality, we all win simply by choosing to participate and having fun creating for the sake of creating and with all the ideas and inspiration we get from sharing with one another.

Here’s what I had in my kit and the Slimline Card I made with it:

Now before I show you the photos of more cards made by some of the Merry Stampers Team Members, I want to fill you in on something. When deciding what I was going to send for the October Bits & Pieces Challenge, I found a pack of the very pretty Traditions of St. Nick DSP that came out last holiday season. I love it and thought others would too. So I then checked online to make sure it was still available (I like to use current product for team challenges and events) and it was. Perfect, right? Well, then it sold out before the end of this month. Despite that, I think we all still had fun with the challenge. So let this be a reminder to us all. If you see it, you like it, and you want it, buy it before it’s gone.

Now, take a look at the wonderful cards created by some of my Merry Stampers Team Members.

I hope you enjoyed a look at one of the things I enjoy doing for and with my team. I am fortunate to have this wonderful community of people that was created by the shared interest of stamps, ink, and paper. Together, we have so much fun sharing, discovering, and learning. If you’re looking for a group where you can enjoy the friendship of other stampers, scrapbookers, and paper crafters, consider being a part of my Merry Stampers community. EVERYONE is welcome and there is no obligation or pressure to sell if you don’t want to. But if you do want to, I enjoy working with and guiding business builders also. Our Merry Stampers team includes those who simply enjoy the demonstrator discount, those who are looking for some extra income, and those who are building a business. AND I welcome all former SU! demonstrator whether you were a past team member of mine or a different demonstrator.

And this is a great time to join as you get an extra $30 in SU! products of your choice when you purchase a Starter Kit in October. That’s right. You get $155 of product of YOUR CHOICE instead of the usual $125 when you join by October 31st. Plus, you’ll get a free Paper Pumpkin Kit, free catalogs to share with friends or family or anyone you think might enjoy one, the opportunity to pre-order new products ahead of the public, and access to my class to go PDF Tutorials FREE.

Wishing you all peace, joy, and happy stamping.

PS…Happy Halloween. I’ll be heading over to Andrea and Jon’s to see Riley do a bit of trick-or-treating in her monkey costume (although she hates having the hood up on her monkey costume). Maybe we’ll be slick and be able to get a great photo of Riley, our little monkey. You never know because she’s always on the go.
