Boy, oh, boy. It's been quite a while since I've been sick and sick as long as I have been. It's now day 7, and I can honestly say, I'm sick of being sick. BUT, that being said, with little energy and lots of time in bed and on the couch, I have had lots of time to think and just be, and I'm grateful for that. I'm thankful that I'm sick with flu, not something worse like covid or cancer. I'm grateful I have a home I love to rest in and a job that allows me the flexibility and time I need to get well. I'm grateful for my support system, my daughters checking on me and my sister dropping off meds and soups. My support group includes so many people who I've come to know through my Stampin' Up! community and Stampin' Peace business – other demonstrators, team members, customers, followers. Wow, you sure do know how to make a person feel loved, valued, and cared about. I have received so many messages and texts. While I am not up to responding to them all, I am trying to read each and every one. I'm so appreciate of your concern, well wishes, and prayers.
I'm trying to do a little work each day until my body tells me it's time to rest again. Today, I decide my goal is to do this blog post. Blogging is one of the many tasks I do that I really, really enjoy, so it's nice to get one done for the first time in a week. I hope you find the content helpful and inspiring.
"Tis the season of giving. Whether you're giving a handmade gift or something you purchased in a store or online, why not dress it up in some creative packaging! Creative packaging adds an extra special element to your gift giving and will certainly draw lots of ohs and ahs and maybe even an extra hug or two. So watch, learn, enjoy, then grab your supplies and make a few box-bags of your own.

I needed a handmade gift for a gift exchange at a holiday dinner for a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators I attended on December 1st. I made 3 DSP strips ornaments, wrapped them in white tissue paper and packaged them in the large poinsettia box-bag. The gift AND the pretty box-bag were a big hit. You can learn how to make my Scrappy Strips Christmas Ornaments by clicking on the video below.
Here's another version of my Box-Bags using a different print from the Boughs of Holly DSP pack. These are a bit more masculine. The Silver Threaded Twine adds a rustic feel to the large box-bag. I also personalized it for my son-in-law with the brand new Alphabet A La Mode Dies coming January 5th.
