Easy-to-make Envelopes for Slimline Cards

I've demonstrated making Slimline Cards many times in the past. My most recent Slimline Cards feature the Hippest Hippos Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set and coordinating Hippest Hippos as shown in the photo below. I'm often asked what kind of envelopes do I mail my Slimline Cards in. These cards fit in a standard business or letter size envelope or in a Slimline Envelope from Stampin' Up! or you can make your own with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock or Designer Series Paper that coordinates with your Slimline Card. Below is a video demonstration followed by a template and cutting and scoring dimensions.

Cutting & Scoring Dimensions:

• Start with 8 1/2" x 11" card stock or DSP.
• With card stock in horizontal position, score at 2 1/2" on one side and 2" on the opposite side.
• Turn card stock to vertical position, score at 3/4" on one end and 1 1/4" on opposite end.
• Cut away corners as shown. (TIP:  Cut corners at angles so envelope folds more easily.)
• Fold on score lines.
• Adhere long sides.
• Adhere small end flap.
