In this video replay of my May 20th Facebook Live, I'll show you how to make 2 gorgeous cards with some of the Gray Granite prints in the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper pack. You'll see how to die cut a shape and then use both the positive and negative pieces to make 2 cards. You know me, if I can make 1 card, I might as well make 2. Right? A great way to build up a nice stash of cards to have on hand.
For these 2 cards, I die cut the large rectangular label shape from the Painted Labels Dies from a piece of 5" x 3 3/4" DSP. I used the negative or "frame" piece for one card and the positive or "label" piece for the second card. The Vellum and Rustic Metallic Dots greatly enhance these simple but elegant cards.
Cutting Dimensions for card #1 above:
- Card Base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White card stock layer on front = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
- DSP bottom layer = 5 1/4" x 4"
- DSP for die cutting = 5" x 3 3/4"
- Gray Granite card stock for embossing & die cutting = 1 1/2" x 3"
- Vellum = scraps for die cutting
- Basic White card stock for inside card = 5 1/4" x 4"
