Stampin’ Up! touches for Andrea’s Bridal Shower

I've been a little quiet here on my blog and my social media channels over the last few days but for good reason. Sunday, Emily (my 25 year old daughter) and I hosted a bridal shower for Andrea (my 30 year old daughter). It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the bride with family and friends and seeing so many people love on Andrea. It was so fun and such a joy to be able to put some personal touches on the day using Stampin' Up! products I love so much. From favors and decorations to even using my Stampin' Peace Studio to host the occasion. Here are some photos of this special day.

IMG_6224 (1)The XOXO treat boxes were add ons to the January Paper Pumpkin Kit Hugs & Kisses. I put chocolates inside each one and added a pretty Polished Dots Embellishment to each heart tag and tied with gold trim.

IMG_6224 (1)I used the Heart Punch Pack, white card stock, Create with Friends Stamp Set, Blushing Bride ink, Champagne Foil (retired) and Petal Pink with Gold Ribbon (retired). They were SOOOOO easy to make. Both favors got rave reviews from our guests.

You may recognize this home decor piece I made before Valentine's Day featured in a blog hop. It too was made with the Hugs & Kisses Paper Pumpkin kit. I put it on a shelf in my kitchen to repurpose it for the bridal shower.

I used the January Paper Pumpkin Kit Hugs & Kisses to make banners also. I put several of the fun fold card bases together with ribbon to create the many banners I used to decorate my living room and shelves in my Stampin' Peace Studio.

IMG_6224 (1)Do you recognize these? I used our Celebrate Today Magnetic Board Kit to make this collage wall over a sofa in my living room where I showcased Andrea and Jon's engagement pictures. This kit is so versatile. I'll be able to change out the background papers and photos for future family events, special occasions, and holidays. The magnetic board and gold metallic clips will make it easy to do so.

I purchased a photo box and wrapped it with Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon. Can you guess what I put inside? Postage Stamps and Thank you notes. Lots and lots of thank you notes I made for the bridal shower and the wedding. This was one of my gifts for the bride.

Stampin' Up! Notes Cards and Envelopes make putting together such a gift easy and inexpensive.

IMG_6237 (1)How many kisses for the Mrs. do you think are in the vase decorated with SU! Blushing Bride Ribbon? Guests used the white hearts with gold trim also from the Hugs & Kisses kit to write their guesses on. And of course, Basic White Thick and Blushing Bride card stock were used to make the sign. There were 221 kisses in the vase. 218 was the winning guess. PS. I kept foil on the top so I wouldn't be tempted to eat any of the chocolates. I love sweets, all sweets, especially chocolates.

IMG_6263 (1)I'm so proud of my girls and am grateful for the love and happiness they bring to my life. I never knew having adult children would be so much fun!

Does anyone recognize this Designer Series Paper? I used Modge Podge to adhere 12" x 12" DSP to 12" square stretched canvases. These were hanging in my living room until I recently moved them to the sitting room off my Stampin' Peace Studio.

IMG_6237 (1)I have a beautiful antique dining room set that once belonged to my grandmother then my mom. Since moving to my house in Columbus, I only have a small eat in kitchen and no longer have a separate dining room. The set is too big for my kitchen space and I didn't want to have it in storage so have incorporated the hutch and buffet into my Stampin' Peace Studio. They house my china and are used to display cards and other hand made crafts. It was used to serve the buffet lunch for the bridal shower.

IMG_6237 (1)I set up a couple of small table around my work space for salads and drinks. You will recognize my craft space behind the tables if you watch my Facebook Lives. I love that I can use and share my Stampin' Peace Studio in a variety of ways.

I have 3 of these shelving units in my studio that I use for display and storage. On this one I hung more banners created with the fun fold card bases from the Hugs & Kisses Kit and displayed a few pictures of Andrea and Jon and a Love collage I made for Valentine's Day last year.

IMG_6241 (1)I had fun seeing Andrea take in the set up and all the personal touches for her bridal shower for the first time. I kept it a secret until she arrived Sunday.
IMG_6244 (1)I ended up buying this set of decorations for a pop of color on this big blank wall.

IMG_6243 (1)Pots of succulents and gift cards served as both center pieces and game prizes.

IMG_6243 (1)This game was a HUGE hit. It was fun hearing stories and memories shared as everyone tried to guess the ages of the bride and groom in the photos.
IMG_6247 (1)I used the SU! heart punch to punch Blushing Bride hearts to number photos of the bride and Soft Succulent hearts for the groom's photos.

Another set of DSP canvases to add some color and personality to the back corner of my Stampin' Peace Studio.

I realized I forgot to take pictures of the desserts – lemon bars made by Emily, a chocolate brownie strawberry trifle made by me, and heart shaped cookies made by our dear friend Rosie. They were all delicious.

Thanks for visiting. I appreciate the opportunity to share with you a glimpse of this special day in my life and the way I was able to incorporate my love of creativity and Stampin' Up! into the celebration. Perhaps, I have inspired some of you to add some of your own creative touches to your special occasions and holidays.

Stampin' Peace Hugs to you all.

You did a Spectacular job all around! Can I ask one question? When you created the thank you cards, I know you can buy that sz, but the umbrella cards, do they have that splash of color on it OR did you stamp tge splash on with a stamp? Also for the rack that displays all your created cards, where did you buy the racks?
