Show Off Both Sides of your Paper with this Fun Fold!

If you’ve been following Stampin’ Peace with Mary Knabe for any length of time, I’m sure you know that using Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper is my favorite way to create cards and paper crafts. I just can’t get enough of it! In today’s post, you’ll see me demonstrate a Simple Fun Fold that allows us to show off BOTH sides of our favorite papers. We don’t have to choose which side we like best! YAY! In addition, I’ll show you 2 ways to use this Fun Fold to make a card and/or gift card holder.

My project today features the Lily of the Valley Stamp Set and Dies, the Valley In Bloom Designer Series Paper, and the coordinating Shimmering Dots. Of course, you can substitute with any stamps, ink, paper, and embellishments of your own to make your own handmade Fun Fold Cards and Gift Card Holders.

These 2 Fun Fold Cards look the same on the front but are different. One uses a flat card base and the other uses a standard card base making it a 2-in-1 card. Both can double as a card and gift card holder.

Dimensions for Valley In Bloom Fun Fold Card on Flat Base:

• Flat card base = 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
• Basic White for back (optional) = 4″ x 5 1/4″
• DSP = 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, score at 1 1/4″
• Card stock layer = 3″ x 4 1/4″
• Card stock layer = 2 3/4″ x 4″
• Basic White inside = 2 3/4″ x 4″
• DSP for gift card pocket (optional) = 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

These photos show the inside and back of the first card using a single layer of card stock as the base.

Dimensions for Valley In Bloom Fun Fold Card on Standard Card Base:

• Ccard base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
• Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
• DSP = 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, score at 1 1/4″
• Card stock layer = 3″ x 4 1/4″
• Card stock layer = 2 3/4″ x 4″
• Basic White inside = 2 3/4″ x 4″
• DSP for gift card pocket (optional) = 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

These photos show the top view of the Valley In Bloom card made with a standard card base, the inside of the Fun Fold portion of the card, the inside of the larger standard card base. I love this how this card is a gift card holder and card all in one.
