A Fun Card & Matching Envelope from 6″ x 6″ DSP

How fun it is to make and send cards! Double your fun by making a matching envelope to go with your handmade cards. In this video, I’ll show you how to make a Corner Fold Card and Matching Envelope using a 6” x 6” piece of pretty paper. Or cut a 12” x 12” sheet into 6” squares to make 4 cards and 4 matching envelope. What a great gift that could be.

In this demonstration, I feature the 2026 – 2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper with a sentiment from the Botanical Expressions Stamp Set and die cut flowers made with the Scalloped Blooms Dies,

The fun card and matching envelope can be made with any of your favorite Non – Directional papers so let your creativity soar!

Papers that are directional on one side and non-directional on the other will work if you use the non-directional side for your envelope. The reason for this is that your card will be vertical and the envelope horizontal.

Directional Papers will work if you make a horizontal Corner Fold Card.

Dimensions of Gingham Gallery Card & Matching Envelope:

  • Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
  • Basic White inside card = 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White layer on front = 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • DSP = 6″ x 6″
    • Cut at 4″
      • With 4″ x 6″ DSP in horizontal position, cut at 5 1/4″
        • Fold down upper right corner of 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP as shown in video.
        • Use 4″ x 3/4″ DSP to decorate inside of card.
      • Use 2″ x 6″ to decorate envelope flap.
  • Card stock strip (same as card base) = 6 1/4″ x 1/4″

Use 6″ x 6″ DSP for 1 handmade card and matching envelope or use 12″ x 12″ DSP to make 4!

I love my Hydrangea Hue Corner Fold Cards just as much as I do the Crisp Cantaloupe cards. I do, however, like the use of the light side of the Hydrangea Hue Two-Tone Card Stock for the stamping layer instead of white.

I hope you’re feeling inspired to make some Corner Fold Cards and Matching Envelopes with your favorite papers. I can’t wait to see what you make! You are welcome to share them by posting pictures of them on Facebook in my Stampin’ Peace VIP Group.

Wishing you peace, joy, and happy stamping!
