Showcase Your Favorite Papers with the Stack, Slice, & Shuffle Technique

How I love the Stack, Slice, and Shuffle Technique for its versatility and the ability to showcase a number of patterned papers at once. And, it allows us to quickly and easily make a few cards at once instead of just one at a time.

In this video, you’ll hear a brief explanation of a brand new Stampin’ Up! Promotion – the Product of the Month Promotion – followed by my demonstration of 1 version of the Stack, Slice, and Shuffle Technique to make a set of 3 cards. The cards I make showcase the December 2025 Product of the MonthTrue Blue Florals Designer Series Paper – as well as a sentiment from a brand new stamp set available to purchase beginning January 6, 2026 – Simply Beautiful.

Enjoy the demonstration, then pull out some of your favorite Designer Series Papers to make a set of 3 cards using the Stack, Slice, and Shuffle Technique. I can’t wait to see what you create. You can post pictures of your handmade cards on Facebook in my Stampin’ Peace VIP Group. Sharing what we create allows us to praise and compliment one another while inspiring each other at the same time.

Dimensions for Stack, Slice, and Shuffle Cards shown above:

  • Card base (cut 3) = 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
  • Basic White inside (cut 3) = 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Card stock layer on front (cut 3) = 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • DSP (cut 3, each a different pattern or print) = 5″ x 3 3/4″
    • STACK your 3 pieces of DSP and SLICE/cut as follows:
      • With stack of DSP in horizontal position, cut at 1 1/2″.
      • Set 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ stack to the side.
      • Turn the 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ to the horizontal position so that the long edge is at top and cut at 2 3/4″ (which is the same as cutting off 1″ from bottom).
    • You should now have 3 stacks, one with 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ pieces, one with 3 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ pieces, and one with 3 1/2″ x 1″ pieces.
      • Shuffle stacks as shown in video.
