Giving the Gift of Handmade Cards has never been more fun!

In this video, I’ll show you how to make color coordinated envelopes for your handmade slimline cards, beautiful packaging, and even some easy personalization for the perfect gift this holiday season or any time of year.

You’ll see me using the Two-Tone Card Stock for my handmade envelopes. It’s a great weight without being too flimsy or too thick and gives you the choice of using the darker or lighter shade of the chosen color. I use the Country Woods Designer Series Paper for my Slimline Card Folder and packaging. The Party Alphabet Dies paired with the Party Banner Dies make personalizing your gift easy and fun, and add a little extra something special for the recipient.

What ever theme, colors, stamps, papers, and products you choose, your handmade cards and creative packaging are sure to impress!

If you missed, the demonstration of the Beautiful Gallery Slimline Cards I shared previously, you may want to watch that video tutorial before watching my demonstration of the Color Coordinated Slimline Envelopes and Slimline Card Folder.

Dimensions for Envelope for 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Slimline Card:

  • Two-Tone Card Stock/DSP: 11″ x 8 1/2″
    • Score at 3/4″ and 9 3/4″ on long side.
    • Turn to vertical position with 9 3/4″ score line at top and 3/4″ score line at bottom.
      • Score at 2″ and 6″
    • Cut aways corners by cutting at an angle outside the score lines so envelope folds better.

Dimensions for Slimline Cards Folder:

  • DSP = 10″ x 12″, score at 2″ on long side and 5″ on short side as shown in video.
  • DSP for Belly Band = 12″ x 1 1/2″
  • Two-Tone Card Stock for Belly Band = 12″ x 1″

If you don’t want to make your own envelopes for your 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Slimline Cards, I suggest using #9 size envelopes (also know as letter envelopes) which are 9″ x 4″. My second choice would be #10 size envelopes (also known as business envelopes) which are 9 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.

Below are the links for the envelopes I’ve purchased on Amazon for my Slimline Cards. Note: I am an Amazon Affiliate and may earn a commission on your purchase.

I encourage each of you to considering gifting your handmade cards this holiday season and throughout the year. For doing so allows others to use your cards to connect and spread peace, joy, love, and happiness to others just as we love to do as card makers.

Wishing you all peace, joy, and happy stamping always!
