One of the easiest ways to create simple yet elegant cards is with background stamps like the Etched Autumn Background Stamp I used on the cards below and a simple color palette. For me, that color palette for elegant cards often includes a little shimmer or shine. In the Etched Autumn cards made for this post I used Very Vanilla and Mossy Meadow card stock with Gold Foil Paper for both ease and elegance. I think the results are beautiful.
The sentiment I used is from the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set and is one of my favorite because of its versatility. It can be used for so many messages to a friend – hello, just because, thank you, thinking of you, miss you, and more.

Card making doesn’t have to be complicated or stressful. Sometimes less is more. That’s why I often like to use what I call the “KISS & SIP” method of card making…meaning “Keep It Simple, Stamper, with Stamps, Ink, and Paper”. I think the Etched Autumn cards in this post are a perfect example of that.
