Saturday, October 5th, was World Card Making Day. Of course, Stampin’ Up! celebrated this day as a company with a free, 1 hour virtual event. One of my Merry Stampers Team Members, Holly Cortelyou, drove to my home in Westerville, Ohio, to spend the afternoon with me. We talked, we laughed, we shared, we ate, and we played with Embossing Paste! AND then we ended our time together watching Stampin’ Up!’s Virtual World Card Making Day event. It was a great time!
Our wonderful CEO Sara Douglass welcomed everyone to the virtual event then shared 5 quick and easy-to-make cards using a selection of our Mix & Match products including Calming Creek Mix & Match Cards & Envelopes and some of the Ephemera Packs. We also saw some easy Note Cards made with Ephemera Packs and the Simply Said Stamp Set!
While the projects made in this fun 1-hour session were geared towards welcoming new crafters to our crafting community, they also appeal to people in need of quick cards they can make in a hurry or makes several of at one sitting. They also may appeal to those who have limited supplies. With just a few products, we can all enjoy making quick and easy cards to send to the many people in our lives.
If you didn’t register for Stampin’ Up!’s World Card Making Day event, no worries. Because it was a FREE event, the video replay is now available to everyone!
Some pictures of Holly & I on World Card Making Day!
Holly got to do the “unboxing” of my pre-order since it arrived while she was here!
We used Blending Brushes with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow ink with the evergreen Decorative Masks from Frosted Forest Bundle. Then we added Embossing Paste with Mask C. Look for finished card and a demonstration of Embossing Paste coming soon.
As always, I wish you peace, joy, and happy stamping.
And to those affected by Hurricane Helene and/or bracing for Hurricane Milton, I pray for your safety.
