I am so excited to share 6 quick and easy card sketches with you in this video. Each one starts with a 4″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper, and one is just as easy as the next. And they’re wonderful for showcasing your favorite Designer Series Papers. Trust me, you’ll want to file these 6 Quick and Easy Card Sketches away for your future use!
The cards you see being made in this video feature the Something Fancy Stamp Set and Sunny Days Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper. But, with the many different Stampin’ Up! Stamp Sets and Designer Series Papers available and these 6 card sketches the possibilities are endless. So go card making crazy!
Dimensions for Card Sketch #1:
- Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP = 4″ x 6″
- Turn DSP to horizontal position, cut off 3/4″ from bottom to be used on inside of card.
- Turn DSP to vertical position, cut at 2″ to get two 2″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
- Turn left strip from previous step to horizontal position and cut 1 3/4″ off bottom of strip.
- Turn right strip to horizontal position and cut 1 3/4″ off top of strip.
Dimensions for Card Sketch #2:
- Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP = 4″ x 6″
- Turn DSP to horizontal position, cut off 3/4″ from bottom to be used on inside of card.
- Turn DSP to vertical position, cut at 2″ to get two 2″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
- Turn both strips from previous step to horizontal position and cut at 2 5/8″ for a total of four 2″ x 2 5/8″ pieces.
Dimensions for Card Sketch #3:
- Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP = 4″ x 6″
- Turn DSP to horizontal position, cut off 3/4″ from bottom.
- Turn DSP to vertical position, cut at 1 1/4″ increments to get three 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ strips for front and 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ strip for inside card.
Dimensions for Card Sketch #4:
- Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP = 4″ x 6″
- Turn DSP to horizontal position, cut off 3/4″ from bottom to be used on inside of card.
- Turn DSP to vertical position, cut at 3″ to get 3″ x 5 1/4″ strip and 1″ x 5 1/4″ strip.
Dimensions for Card Sketch #5:
- Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP = 4″ x 6″
- Turn DSP to horizontal position, cut off 3/4″ from bottom. Both the 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 3/4″ pieces will be used on card front.
Dimensions for Card Sketch #6:
- Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP = 4″ x 6″
- Turn DSP to horizontal position, cut off 3/4″ from bottom. Both the 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 3/4″ pieces will be used on card front.
