With the holiday season upon us and many people giving gift cards, I’ve enjoyed showing you how to “dress up” those gift cards by making quick and easy gift card holders. Be sure to check out my recent blog posts for making your own gift card holders.
In this video, I’m demonstrating a quick and easy Cash Card or Money Card for those who gift cash instead of gift cards. This cash card is so easy, you’ll be wanting to make more for other occasions throughout the year such as graduations, weddings, and birthdays. The Cash Card and coordinating Envelope in my demonstration are made with the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper and Sending Cheer Dies in a class Christmas color scheme of Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler.
Dimensions for Easy Cash Card or Money Card:
- Base = 8 1/2″ x 7″, score at 2″ and 5 1/4″ on long side, fold both flaps toward front with small flap at bottom and large flap at top
- Basic White inside = 6 3/4″ x 3″
- Cherry Cobbler card stock = 6 3/4″ x 3″ and 6 3/4″ x 1 3/4″
- DSP for front = 6 5/8″ x 2 7/8″
- DSP for pocket inside = 6 5/8″ x 1 5/8″
- DSP for Belly Band = 1″ x 8″
Dimensions for Coordinating DSP Envelope:
- DSP = 9 1/2″ x 8 1/4″
- Score DSP at 3/4″ and 8 1/4″ on long side
- Score DSP at 2″ and 5 3/4″ on short side

Thanks, Mary, for the tips on making this really cute cash card with an envelope. My grandson may be getting this in the mail soon. Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for your positive feedback, Hilda. Happy cash card making.
Card base, I believe should be 8 1/2 instead of 8. You said it correctly in the video. Thanks for sharing this great card. I’m making a set right now.
Thanks, Angela. I corrected that typo in the post. Enjoy making your own cash cards.
