Sometimes, a simple change to a card can result in something wonderful and just as good as the original. That’s what I demonstrate in this video – 3 similar but different cards made with a couple of simple changes in coloring. The Places of the Heart Stamp Set is perfect for cards for an expectant mom, a new mom, a mom of little ones, a baby shower, or Mother’s Day. Swap out the colors to fit the gender or a theme to make these simple cards special.
Cutting dimensions for Places In The Heart cards:
- Card base = 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold in half.
- Basic White inside = 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Basic White front = 4 3/4″ X 3 1/2″
- Card stock layer front = 4 7/8″ x 3 3/8″
I swapped out the Petal Pink card stock and ink used in the cards above for Pool Party to make the cards below. I love how they turned out. Now I’m ready with cards for Girl Moms and Boy Moms!

As I was doing this demonstration and writing this post featuring the Places In The Heart Stamp Set, I found myself reminiscing about the 31+ years I’ve been a mom and imaging what it will be like to be a grandma in a few weeks. My final thought on both is I am blessed and so grateful.
