2-Step Stamping with Petal Park Stamp Set

It's so easy to create beautiful cards with the Petal Park Bundle and 2-Step Stamping Technique. In this replay of a recent Facebook Live, I demonstrate 2-Step Stamping and offer some tips for lining up your stamps making this technique easy and fun. I used an anniversary sentiment on my cards, however, these cards would be great for so many different occasions and reason for sending cards. Just swap out the sentiment to suit your need.

Cutting Dimensions for 1st Card:

  • Card base = 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2" on long side, fold in half.
  • Basic White (cut 2) = 5 1/4" x 4"

Cutting Dimensions for 2nd Card:

  • Card base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
  • Basic White (cut 2) = 5 1/4" x 4"

Stamping both layers with ink at full strength (going from ink pad to card stock) gives you bolder color but more subtle details as in the card above.

Stamping the outline images at full strength, then stamping off (going from ink pad to scrap paper to card stock) for the second layer gives you 2 different shades of the same color and really show the detail well as in the cards below. Give both methods a try and see what your preference.

Another option for 2-Step Stamping is to use 2 different but coordinating colors, one darker and one lighter, for example Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves and Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride for the flowers.  Stampin' Up! Petal Park Bundle - Mary Knabe
