It's quite gloomy and rainy in central Ohio today, but sharing stamping and paper crafting is always good for brightening my day. In addition to sharing here on www.stampinpeace.com, I'll be sharing some stamping and paper crafting this kids this afternoon. My niece Avery is bringing over the 3 kids she's been watching this summer. The plan is to provide them with a couple of kits and some stamps, ink, and paper; give them a few ideas, and see what direction they head in. They were here 2 years ago and wanted to make matching games. So that's what we did. They each left here with their own matching game to play at home and share with family and friends. I'm excited to see what is created today.
You may or may not heard of CASEing. In the Stampin' Up! Community, CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything meaning if someone shared a creative project on social media, you should feel free to copy it or draw inspiration from it and make something similar. So, no, you are not steeling someone's idea. (Of course, if you copy something exactly, it's common courtesy to give credit to the person who made it.)
In today's video, I show you an example of CASEing. I began with a card I received in a Merry Stampers Team Swap, copied the overall layout and changed a few elements to create a card of my own. I think you'll like both the card I CASEd and my own versions as well. S
The Hippest Hippo card above was a swap card made by my Merry Stampers Team Member Pat Drybala. It's so cute I couldn't wait to CASE it for. CASE = Copy And Share Everything.
