It was a cold, wintery day in central Ohio on Friday, January 7th, but I was able to bring some sunshine to the day when I chose to use the Daffodil Afternoon Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper to feature in my projects. In this video replay of Friday's Facebook Live, I demonstrate how to make a Gift Card Holder using a 3" x 12" strip of Daffodil Daydream DSP. It's a easy layout to replicate on your own and is great for birthdays, graduations, weddings, and so much more. I'll also show you cutting dimensions and card ideas for another sheet of the pretty Daffodil Daydreams DSP to help you make a nice assortment of Daffodil Afternoon cards including some slimline cards.
Cutting Dimensions for Gift Card Holders above:
- Basic Black card stock base = 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
- Daffodil Delight card stock layer = 5 1/4" x 4"
- Basic Black card stock layer = 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
- Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Sale-A-Bration) = 3" x 12", score at 4" from each end
- Basic White card stock = 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
- Pear Pizzazz card stock for banner = 1" x 4"
Cutting Dimensions for Gift Card Holder above:
- Basic Black card stock base = 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
- Daffodil Delight card stock layer = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
- Pear Pizzazz card stock layer = 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
- Basic Black card stock layer = 3 3/8" x 4 3/8"
- Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Sale-A-Bration) = 3" x 12", score at 4" from each end
- Basic White card stock inside = 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
- Pear Pizzazz card stock for banner = 1" x 4"
Cut 12" x 12" DSP in half so you have two 6" x 12" pieces. Cut one of the pieces into four 3" x 6" strips. Cut one 3" x 6" strips into three 3" x 2" pieces. Use all pieces to make cards shown in the next two photos. The hearts DSP on the cards in the 2 photos below is from another sheet of the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper pack. I cut 3 pieces 3" x 2" for the bottom of 3 of the slimline cards and one piece 2" x 8 1/2" for the fourth slimline card shown.
Cutting Dimensions for Slimline Cards above:
- Pear Pizzazz/Mossy Meadow ccard base = 7" x 8 1/2", score at 3 1/2" on short side & fold in half.
- Mossy Meadow/Pear Pizzazz card stock layer = 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"
- Very Vanilla card stock inside = 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"
Cutting Dimensions for Slimline Card above on LEFT:
- Bumblebee card base = 7" x 8 1/2", score at 3 1/2" on short side & fold in half.
- Mossy Meadow card stock layer on front = 3 1/8" x 8 1/8"
- Very Vanilla card stock layer inside = 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"
Cutting Dimensions for Slimline Card above on RIGHT:
- Mossy Meadow card base = 7" x 8 1/2", score at 3 1/2" on short side & fold in half.
- Hearts DSP = 2" x 8 1/2"
- Pear Pizzazz card stock layer = 3 1/4" x 6 1/2"
- Very Vanilla card stock layer inside = 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"
Cut your second piece of 6" x 12" Daffodil Afternoon DSP into three 4" x 6" pieces. Cut off 3/4" from top of each pieces. All of these pieces are used on the cards in the photo below.
Cutting Dimensions for A2 Cards above:
- Card bases in Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz, & Mossy Meadow = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
- Very Vanilla card stock inside = 5 1/4" x 4"
- LEFT card: Cut 1/4" from 4" x 3/4" strip. Adhere 1/4" strip to bottom of card front. Adhere 1/2" strip to bottom of Very Vanilla card stock on inside of card.
- MIDDLE card: Cut 1/4" from 4" x 3/4" strip. Flip over 1/4" strip so plain side is up and adhere to bottom of card front. Adhere 1/2" strip near bottom of card front slightly overlapping the 1/4" strip.
- RIGHT card: Banner cut both ends of the 3/4" strip using Banners Pick A Punch.
