Here's a simple holiday decoration I made. I picked up a 9" plain wood star at the Dollar Store and transformed it into a holiday decoration. I traced the star onto the back of the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper you see, cut it out, marked and punched hole through the paper, and adhered the paper to the wood star with Multipurpose Glue.
On a separate piece of matching Designer Series Paper, I stamped the sentiment from the Thinking, Thanks, and Peace Stamp Set with Versa Mark Ink, then sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it. A frame cut from Silver Foil Specialty Paper using the Layering Circle Dies was then adhere to the stamped & embossed circle with Foam Adhesive Strips. Framed Sentiment was then adhered to the center of the star. Lastly, I added a hangar of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon. I enjoyed this little project of mine.
I'm going to drop into the Dollar Store a little more often to see what I can pick up and transform using my Stampin' Up! products. They're not just for card making! How about you? Have you done any Dollar Store crafts? What did you make and what Stampin' Up! products did you use?
