Welcome to another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. It's always fun to create alternate projects with each month's kit, then join in the blog hop to share lots of projects with all of you.
Here's a fun Stampin' Up! video showcasing the Paper Pumpkin Gifts Galore Kit and its contents and the designed holiday treat boxes.
When I received my Gifts Galore Paper Pumpkin Kit, I knew that I wanted to make some gift card holders using the contents. In order to do that and maximize the contents of my kit, I decided to cut apart a couple of the white boxes. I cut each apart on all of the score lines as follows.
I then used the box fronts and backs to make a pocket on the back of the Pile of Presents, Snowman, and Christmas Tree. Easy peasy. A bit of cutting with my Paper Trimmer and a little Multipurpose Glue and with very little time I was able to whip up some gift card holders – also great for cash and lottery tickets. I added a string to hang on the Christmas Tree or on top of a wrapped present and added personalized tags.
After making these gift card holders, I looked at the pieces I had left from the two boxes I had cut apart. I knew I could do something with the long strips of card stock that would have formed the bottom and sides of the treat box. I decided to cut the 8" strips in half. I then curled them, applied a bit of Multi Purpose Glue to one end and adhered the ends to form a small tube. Each roll or tube was then glued to the back of each of the festive shapes. Now I have napkin holders that will make a lovely display on dinner table for a party or gathering of family and friends. Again, super easy and super quick to make! The colors used on each of the shapes make anything you make with them festive and fun. You could even add some embellishments to jazz them up even more.
Did you all notice I had to cut my own carrot noses from Pumpkin Pie card stock??? The Old Olive snowman nose just wasn't doing it for me. Lol
