I love making my own gift bags! I purchase plain white and kraft gift bags of various sizes online (check out Amazon and/or google kraft gift bags). Then I decorate them with Stampin' Up! supplies – from Designer Series Paper and card stock to ribbons and embellishments. The possibilities are endless! I make them for holidays and specific occasions such as birthdays or baby showers. They're perfect for those "just because" gifts too. And nothings better than giving a handmade gift than giving it in wonderful handmade packaging. I know many of you like me love to gift our hand stamped cards. Why not decorate a gift bag to put them in for an added touch?
Below I show you in pictures how I made a pretty and festive gift bag for the holidays. The Adorning Designs Decorative Masks made it easy. I chose the snowflake mask, 1 of 4 in the set, sponged our White Craft Ink over it onto my kraft gift bag, heat set it, and added a fun gift tag I made as an embellishment. I love how it turned out. It was quick. It was easy. It was fun! AND, it was inexpensive to make! I'll admit, I am frugal when it comes to packaging gifts. I will not spend $4 on a simple no frills gift bag at the store when I can make something myself. And you know what? People love my handmade bags and want to save them so they can reuse them. That says a lot, doesn't it.
