Spring is nearly here, and I can hardly wait. I've been looking forward to warmer, sunnier days, blossoming trees and new life. And of course, it won't be long before we see dandelions popping up everywhere. While they are a weed and considered a nuisance, they can bring beauty to our days with their bright yellow flowers. Plus it's fun to make a wish and blow on one that is ready to spread its seed pods and make a wish. Either way, we can look for the good in this bit of nature. I can even remember back decades ago when I was teaching elementary school, being gifted a bouquet (or two or three) of yellow flowers. Oh, they smelled yucky especially in a hot classroom, but I always made a fuss over how excited I was to receive such a thoughtful gift. Any teachers reading this can relate, I am sure.
The video posted below is from a recent Facebook Live. In it, you'll find a demonstration of the Gate Fold Card. These are truly as easy as they are fun to make. So take a look, then give the Gate Fold Card a try. I think you'll be glad you did!
A "belly band" serves as 1 type of closure for your Gate Fold Card as on this card.
On this second Gate Fold Card, I wrapped Bumblebee ribbon around the card and tied a bow in the front before adhering my layer card stock and DSP layers to my gate fold panels.
A bit of stamping and coloring is a fun addition to the inside of any card.
