I love black and white cards. I love them even more with a "pop of color". The True Love Designer Series Paper lends itself to these types of cards so easily. Use the True Love DSP as is but add color with bits of card stock, ribbon, and/or embellishments. I used Just Jade for my pops of color on the following 6 cards. These are so easy to make as they all use the same dimensions – making it easy to make lots of great cards fast to use now or build up your stash for later use.
I love layering punched shapes to add more interest to cards and make my sentiments stand out.
Matte Black Dots are a perfect embellishment for these black & white cards with a pops of Just Jade color.
Cutting Dimensions:
- Basic Black Card Base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White card stock for inside card = 5 1/4" x 4"
- DSP = Cut 4" x 6" then cut 3/4" off one end. Both the 4" x 5 1/4" and 4" x 3/4" pieces will be used on your card front.
- Just Jade card stock (or color of your choice) = 4" x 1"
