My November 9th Make It with Mary Monday Facebook Live was lots of fun. I used a limited amount of supplies to create quick, easy, and simply elegant Christmas cards with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP. I hope you'll watch my Facebook Live Replay and that you will be inspired to do what we in the Stampin' Up! world like to call "Simple Stamping" with our 3 main products – stamps, ink, and paper. These cards are great for beginner stampers or for those who prefer a simple style. They are great for people making their first card or for someone making lots of cards to send family, friends, and colleagues, or to donate to a church group or nursing home. And of course, you can always add layers of card stock, DSP, and specialty papers along with ribbons, trims, and embellishments to turn these simple cards into wow cards. The supplies used may be limited but the creative possibilities are endless. So enjoy this video, then grab some supplies and get started creating simply beautiful cards.
Using both side of the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper makes it easy to create multiples of your designs and layouts.
I love the "clusters" of pearls to accent some of the berries on this particular DSP.
A single Gold Gilded Gem is perfect to accent the star on this sentiment.
I love this simple message of joy.
More beautiful metallic accents…
2" strips of this beautiful ornament DSP was used in 3 different ways.
The Iridescent Pearls from the Magic in this Night Suite work perfectly on this card and with so many other Stampin' Up! colors and Designer Series Paper. They're definitely not just for Halloween.
Look at how the Star Designer Elements accent this DSP so beautifully. These stars are also great for celebrations and for patriotic cards for Veterans Day on November 11th.
I made a 2" x 4" pocket to turn this card into a gift card holder.
Cutting Dimensions:
- All card bases are 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" on long side and folded in half.
- All DSP strips on cards are 2" wide. Cut length as need for the different designs. Lengths I used were 5 1/2", 4 1/4", 4", and 2" squares.
- DSP Strips for envelopes vary in length and width. Cut them as they appeal to you and adhere securely with Multipurpose Glue.
