Today's blog post contains a video demonstration of a new variation on the Slimline Card. It's called a Double Split Slimline Card. With my video demonstration and directions, I hope you'll feel confident to try it on your own. My cards feature the bright, colorful, festive, and fun Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper with tips on getting the most out of it along with the coordinating dies. Enjoy!
These two cards use the same Double Split Slimline Card layout and same Trimming the Town DSP but look so different. I love the versatility of Stampin' Up! products to help me create one of a kind cards even with limited supplies.
The houses and pine tree were die cut from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper using the coordinating Home Together Dies.
I love using Stampin' Dimensionals to add more dimension and interest to my handmade cards. Who would have thought a few dimensionals would change the look of a card and take it to a new level.
Tear some Whisper White card stock and layer it to create snow-covered hills.
This card is so fun and festive and reminds me of my childhood when Dad would "flood" our backyard to make an ice rink for us. Such fun we had! We loved winters in Cleveland. Dad took us to the valley so sled a lot too. And he was a high school teacher so he loved snow days as much as we kids did.
The Adhesive-backed Snowflakes are the perfect embellishment for this card.
PS. The Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper is 15% off through October 31st along with 14 others.
