Gratitude = Happiness

My mother was a stickler for her kids sending thank you notes. Present times were also thank you note times. Birthdays, holidays, First Communion, Graduations – no matter the occasion, if we were given a gift of any sort, we were made to sit down and write a than you note. There was no getting out of it. Funny thing is, I liked writing to people, even thank you notes. I wrote letters to my cousin Rose who lived a couple hours away. I wrote to out of town grandparents and other relatives. I also learned to appreciate and cherish the thank you cards and hand written notes I received from others. My parents are both deceased, Dad 30 years and Mom 4 years), how grateful I am that I have letters they each wrote me in college plus a few cards I kept from my mom in her last few years. I love seeing their words written in their own handwriting.

I'm so grateful for the opportunities I have as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator of 12 years to share card making with others. It gives us all, the opportunity to be creative and to reach out to others and spread kindness. I have no doubt our handmade cards are appreciated as we have created them with love. I believe the words we write in them carry just as much power as people just want to know they are thought of, loved, and appreciated.

I've have worked hard this year in being more consistent with sending my Stampin' Up! customers a handmade card and a little Stampin' Up! gift each month as a small token of my appreciation for supporting me in my Stampin' Peace business. This way they get a little something to help them keep on stamping and making cards. And they have an extra handmade card in their stash to use when needed. I have gotten lots of positive feedback from doing this which I love, and it keeps me motivated to continue doing it into the future.
