What a wonderful couple days I had this weekend. It started waking up on Friday morning to blue skies and bright sunshine, something we haven't seen much of in Ohio this spring. Such a beautiful way to welcome in summer. Saturday was just as beautiful, today, Sunday is our third straight day of sunshine and blue skies!
This weekend was also made wonderful with the visit of my friends Susi Brunk and Sherrie Parker, my Stampin' Up! upline and second upline. We shared dinner, wine, friendship, and laughs. They spent the night at my house Friday, then we all attended the Stampin' Up! Ohio Leadership and Business Gathering on Saturday hosted by Jessica Werner, Demonstrator Development Manager of USA Northeast Area and Cori Hancock of Stampin' Up! who oversees all of the DDM's in the East Region. How wonderful it is that they were able to bring together so many Ohio demonstrators. O-H-I-O!
Highlights of the event included leadership activities and business demonstrations by several fabulous Ohio demonstrators on topics such as increasing sales, finding new customers, building and growing a team, increasing retention of team members, and using social media in our businesses. I'm grateful for the many informative and motivating presentations, and am spending some time today working on plans to implement some of these new practices. Of course, the best part of any Stampin' Up! event is reuniting with demonstrators I don't see too often and meeting new people in my Stampin' Up! family. Making connections, building relationships, and learning and growing together is such a big part of what I enjoy as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
It was a great weekend! I alway enjoy being with all my SU family. Many challenges were thrown at us which always motivates me! Getting to spend time with Mary and Sherrie was the best part. I would never have met these two wonderful friends if it wasn’t for Stampin’Up! And now…they are part of my extended family!!!
