Variations on the Spotlight Technique

Happy Hump Day! I hope your week is going well, and that you have some time penciled in your planner for crafting. Here on some variations on the Spotlight Technique I featured on my Facebook Live and posted to my Stampin' Peace Blog yesterday. Check out these cards I made with the spotlight technique and a few variations. Give it a try yourself and send me your photos.

Botanical Butterfly DSP, Balmy Blue & Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends

Spotlight just 1 image by coloring it with Stampin' Blends.
Botanical Butterfly DSP, Watercolor Pencils & Blender Pens

Spotlight similar images by coloring just those.

I like to call this the Reverse Spotlighting. I put the spotlight on all the butterflies by coloring in everything in the background behind them.

Botanical Butterfly DSP, Watercolor Pencils & Blender Pens, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch

Punch a circle from the DSP, color it, then adhere it to the next larger size circle punched from black card stock.
Layer and adhere both to DSP aligning image as it was before it was punched out.
