Today is Veteran's Day, a day to remember and honor our veterans and active duty military. My Godfather Uncle Will was recently on the Honor Flight along with my cousin Todd. How wonderful of Todd and his wife Beth to help Uncle Will apply for this honor and experience of a lifetime. Uncle Will and Todd made the trip to Washington DC along with nearly 100 other veterans and their guardians to visit our nation's war memorials. Several family members and friends of Uncle Will participated in welcoming the Honor Flight Veterans back to the Dayton, OH airport. I was able to visit and share family memories with so many and was humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and gratitude shown in welcoming the veterans home and thanking them for their service to our country.
Today, please say a prayer for the health and well-being of our veterans as well as our active duty military and their families. If you have the opportunity to thank a veteran today or at anytime in the future, I hope that you will embrace that opportunity and do so.
