Nine years ago today, I made one of the best decisions of my life. I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I purchased the Starter Kit with the intention of enjoying a discount on my future Stampin' Up! orders. Never did I imagine that I would build a business or a team like I have today. As I reflect back on my 9 years, I am reminded that all I have accomplished comes from hard work, challenging myself, and dedication to serving others. I also know that the support of many, many people have contributed to my growth and success including my family and friends, the Stampin' Up! company and all its employees and staff, my team members and demonstrator friends, and my wonderful customers who come to my home for classes, attend my crafting weekends, follow my blog, and place orders with me. I am grateful for all of you.
As I look ahead to the next 9 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator (and hopefully even more), I've been thinking about "My Why". Why do I do what I do? Stampin' Up!'s Statement of the Heart comes to mind. Everyday, I get to do what I love, stamping and paper crafting. I get to share this gift with others giving them a creative outlet and helping them feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment by making something they are proud of and that they want to share with family and friends. I offer a place of fun and fellowship. I do make a difference, a positive difference in this world. I bring happiness and peace to others by providing a little creative therapy and with the cards I send. Yes, I make a difference, and it feels good. That is my why. I want to make a positive difference in the lives of all I touch as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
