There are so many reasons I love card making. I get to use amazing coordinating products in an array of fabulous colors and themes too numerous to name or count. I get to belong to a community of creative people who understand my love for stamping and paper crafting and inspire me to keep on stamping and creating. I get to express myself creatively and add my own personal touch to my correspondences. I get to inspire and teach others to enjoy stamping and paper crafting like I do. Best of all, card making keeps me spreading love, kindness, and happy thoughts in challenging times by sending the hand stamped cards I've made.
I made this beautiful set of cards to let friends and family they are thought of and loved. They feature the Hydrangea Hill Suite and Happy Thoughts Stamp Set - 2 of my favorite new products in the new January - June Mini Catalog. I hope you love these cards as much as I do. If so, you can download the Free Project Sheet I created for you.
So many beautiful details make this card AMAZING. Embossed card stock, Vellum, elegant sheer ribbon, and Pastel Pearls - I love them all. What a beautiful sentiment this is to send love and caring thoughts. I love that the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set (and so many others) have sentiments to coordinate for the outside and inside of our handmade cards.

I created the following 2 cards with 2 different techniques for adding multiple ink colors to a single stamp. Be sure to view the video above for technique demonstrations. They're fun and easy to do and make a big impact!
I colored my rubber stamp with Stampin' Write Markers in Melon Mambo, Bumblebee, Highland Heather, Soft Suede, and Shaded Spruce. Then I "huffed" on the stamp to remoisten the inks and stamped on Basic White card stock. I used Shaded Spruce card stock to back the Basic White card stock for this card.
I used a different stamping technique to add multiple ink colors to my Corner Bouquet stamp for this card. This technique used Sponge Daubers and Ink Pads to add the various colors to my rubber stamp. Be sure to "huff" or breathe heavily on the inked stamp to remoisten the inks before stamping on Basic White card stock.
For a simple change, I used Bumblebee card stock to back the Basic White card stock on this card.
I love the brightness of the Bumblebee bow on this card. It really pops!

It's nice to send a pretty card simply to say hello to a friend or loved one who you haven't see in a long time or who you know needs a little pick me up or to know they are thought of. This card is perfect for that person. The card is simple and quick to make. The gold hoop adds a fun element to this wreath card. The sentiment and flowers are from the Quiet Curvy Bundle. And with such bright colors as Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, and Pool Party, whose days wouldn't be made just a bit brighter with this card?
No extra layers of card stock or Designer Series Paper for this simply beautiful card.
I prefer to use Whisper White THICK card stock for my white card bases as it is much sturdier and stands up better than our original Whisper White card stock that is intended for layering. The same holds true for Very Vanilla card bases.
What a nice impact this Gold Hoop Embellishment adds. It makes this simple card a bit fancy!
TIPS for making this card:
For adhering the Gold Hoop Embellishments, use a few Mini Glue Dots rolled up or even a few tiny pieces of Tear & Tape rolled. You don't need adhesive all the way around the Gold Hoop. Just 3-4 spots with good adhesive will hold your Gold Hoop in place nicely.
Stamp the sentiment in Black Momento Ink or in color of your choice.
I stamped 2 floral sprigs in Black Momento Ink and colored with Stampin' Blends in Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, and Pool Party.
Die cut both floral sprigs. Then cut one of them into 2 pieces (1 very small piece and 1 longer piece) and tuck and adhere these underneath the Gold Hoop. The other floral sprig I placed over the top of the hoop using Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
Use a Mini Glue Dot behind the knot of the bow to adhere it to the bottom of the floral wreath.

More BEAUTIFUL Boho Indigo cards. I just can't get enough of this amazing product medley. So many wonderful elements in this product medley make creating your own uniques cards and paper crafts easy. It's fun to mix and match the Designer Series Papers, stamps, embellishments, and more. I'd love to see what you create the amazing Boho Indigo Product Medley. Please share on my Stampin' Peace VIP Facebook Group.
I think the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems are a good choice for these flower centers.
A simple change of the Designer Series Paper comes in handy when you need to make a bunch of cards.
I think the Linen Thread double bow is a nice accent for this Boho basket.
Card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
DSP is 5 1/2" x 3". (You can make 2 cards with this layout from 1 piece of the 6" x 6" DSP.)
Very Vanilla for stamping is 2 1/2" x 4 1/4".
Misty Moonlight layer is 2 5/8" x 4 3/8".

My November 9th Make It with Mary Monday Facebook Live was lots of fun. I used a limited amount of supplies to create quick, easy, and simply elegant Christmas cards with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP. I hope you'll watch my Facebook Live Replay and that you will be inspired to do what we in the Stampin' Up! world like to call "Simple Stamping" with our 3 main products - stamps, ink, and paper. These cards are great for beginner stampers or for those who prefer a simple style. They are great for people making their first card or for someone making lots of cards to send family, friends, and colleagues, or to donate to a church group or nursing home. And of course, you can always add layers of card stock, DSP, and specialty papers along with ribbons, trims, and embellishments to turn these simple cards into wow cards. The supplies used may be limited but the creative possibilities are endless. So enjoy this video, then grab some supplies and get started creating simply beautiful cards.
Using both side of the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper makes it easy to create multiples of your designs and layouts.
I love the "clusters" of pearls to accent some of the berries on this particular DSP.
A single Gold Gilded Gem is perfect to accent the star on this sentiment.
I love this simple message of joy.
More beautiful metallic accents...
2" strips of this beautiful ornament DSP was used in 3 different ways.
The Iridescent Pearls from the Magic in this Night Suite work perfectly on this card and with so many other Stampin' Up! colors and Designer Series Paper. They're definitely not just for Halloween.
Look at how the Star Designer Elements accent this DSP so beautifully. These stars are also great for celebrations and for patriotic cards for Veterans Day on November 11th.
I made a 2" x 4" pocket to turn this card into a gift card holder.
All card bases are 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" on long side and folded in half.
All DSP strips on cards are 2" wide. Cut length as need for the different designs. Lengths I used were 5 1/2", 4 1/4", 4", and 2" squares.
DSP Strips for envelopes vary in length and width. Cut them as they appeal to you and adhere securely with Multipurpose Glue.

I have to admit, creating with the Boho Indigo Product Medley makes me happy. The simple color scheme of Misty Moonlight, Very Vanilla, and Metallic Gold Accents, the variety of designs in the Designer Series Paper, the elegant gold ribbon and texture of the blue ribbon, the felt flowers with bead center, the numerous die cuts, and, last but not least, the stamp set and coordinating dies. I love it all! The possibilities are endless for making wonderful cards for any occasion or note cards like the two I made below.
Here are two of several cards I've created with the Boho Indigo Product Medley. Be sure to download the Free PDF Project Sheets I made for you so you can make these cards too.
I embossed the Misty Moonlight card stock with the Tasteful Textile 3-D Embossing Folder for added interest.
Linen Thread and Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots are a great choice of embellishments for this card.
Finally, I took some time to create with the Boho Indigo Product Medley. What a beautiful assortment of products from the stamp set and dies to the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, many sheets of cut outs in Very Vanilla and metallic gold, two ribbons, and felt flower embellishments. It truly is a great value at $70. This is the first card I made with the Boho Indigo products. I'll definitely be making many more.
I love the gold accents of the labels in the Boho Indigo Product Medley.
These felt flowers with bead centers come in two sizes in the Boho Indigo Product Medley and the Refill Pack. Just add a Mini Glue Dot to the back and add to your cards and other paper crafts.
Ah, I love this card in every way. It has so many details yet is simple and elegant too. This card would be wonderful for so many reasons or occasions. Or don't put a sentiment on it and use it as a note card.
Very Vanilla card base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" x on long side, fold in half.
Night of Navy card stock - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and 4 3/8" x 2 5/8"
Boho Indigo DSP - 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla - 4 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Life is beautiful. Sometimes in the midst of pain, illness, isolation, stress, hurt, and loss it can be hard to see the beauty in our world. But then, if we look closely, we can see beauty all around us, in the faces of our family, friends, and loved ones. We can see beauty in the comfort in our homes. We can see beauty in the eyes of a child, and the wrinkles of someone who has lived a long full life. It's also nice to step outside and see the beauty in nature no matter the time of year, new buds in spring, all shades of green in the trees in summer, the many shades of autumn, and in the glittering frost of winter. We just need to take time to observe, see what's around us, and be grateful for that beauty.
Stampin' Up!'s Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper was so popular in 2019, they brought it back for us in 2020 as a "Returning Fave". This paper shows true beauty of nature in the winter with its soft colors and delicate images of frozen droplets, snow, and frost on evergreens, leaves leftover from fall, and barren branches.
Below are cards I made with the beautiful Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. They layout is quite simple and the same for each card. I wanted to focus on the beauty depicted in the various papers without a lot of embellishing. If you've never done this "window pane" layout, you can see me demonstrate it with this link: https://bit.ly/32JnUbf. The Life Is Beautiful Stamp Set is featured in our 2020 Holiday Catalog.
If you've never done this "window pane" layout, use this link: https://bit.ly/32JnUbf for my video demonstration with cutting dimensions and other card samples.
