It's pretty cold in central Ohio this week and a snowstorm is on its way. Fortunately, my plan is to stay in and work and craft the weekend away. I'll even have a couple friends here for crafting. While I do enjoy a beautiful snowfall, I do dream of days by the beach with sunny skies, warm breezes, and shelling. Our Stampin' Up! Sand & Sea Suite make creating beach themed paper crafts easy and fun. Today's post shows a 2-page scrapbook layout featuring the fun beach and seashell products from the Sand & Sea Suite. My Facebook Live video replay below shows you just how I made this layout and includes and couple of different ways you can add color to the beautiful Pearlescent Paper I used for the seashells. I hope you'll take a look at the video and be inspired by my demonstration.
An alternate use for these scrapbook pages would be to frame and display them with your favorite beach day memories. They make wonderful gifts too.
I love the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper used as the sky and beach for this layout.
The Seaside Seashells 3D Embossing Folder has exquisite detail. Adding a bit of color with Blending Brushes and ink brings out the details even more.
The various colors of ink on the Pearlescent Specialty Paper bring the seashells and plants to life beautifully!

I'm excited to once again be participating in the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We have several alternate projects for your April 2021 Paper Pumpkin SO COOL! You're going to love the variety of projects shown in this month's blog hop.
As soon as I saw this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit, I knew it would be perfect for scrapbook pages to preserve fun summer memories. I chose bold colors that were already included in the kit theme - Bermuda Bay, Bumblebee, Old Olive, Terracotta Tile, and Blackberry Bliss. The rainbow and large popsicles are from 2 cards that I cut apart, using only the card fronts. The small popsicles, fruits, and sun are stickers from the kit. The striped paper is from a lined envelope in the So Cool Kit that I cut apart. Card stock pieces are 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 4 1/4" x 6 1/4".
It's easy to add titles to your scrapbook pages with Stampin' Up!'s Playful Alphabet Dies (#152706) as I did here.
Stampin' Up! really does make it easy for us to create fun projects with their monthly Paper Pumpkin kits whether you choose to make the cards and projects with directions given or if you choose to do your own designing and make alternate projects. For more alternate projects for this month's kits be sure to click NEXT on the pumpkin below. I'm grateful to be a member of the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. I hope you'll check out all of this month's outstanding So Cool projects. Here's looking forward to a fun summer!

What's better than a Stampin' Up! holiday tag kit? How about a holiday tag kit at HALF PRICE? That's right. One of my most favorite Stampin' Up! Tag Kits, Tag Buffet Project Kit, is on sale now for just $15, that's a 50% savings. Follow the directions and you'll get 30 bright, beautiful, festive tags to add that something special to your gift wrap and gift bags. Already finished your shopping, wrapping, and tagging? Consider purchasing a few kits to have at the ready for next year. Better yet, get your friends and family in on the fun and host a "Christmas in July" kit party. Either way, this deal is the bomb! But don't hesitate. The Tag Buffet Kit and all products on the Stampin' Up! Year-end Closeout are only available while supplies last. Grab this kit and other retiring holiday products before they're gone. Click here to go directly to the Year-end Closeout section of my online store to see what's retiring and what's on sale.
If you make the tags in the kit according to directions, you'll make a total of 30 beautiful, large tags (5 each of 6 designs as shown below).
I took 6 tags (1 of each design) to use in making some holiday scrapbook pages that resemble wrapped gifts.
Tips for creating all of these gift wrapped scrapbook pages can be found by viewing my video below.
I also took 6 tags (1 of each design) and removed the white layer, then made Christmas Cards with them - card base in a coordinating colors plus Gold Foil Paper accents is all it took. I also tied the gold cord into bows for a finishing touch.
I used the white layers I removed from the tags on the cards above with the 5 extra pine tree die cuts you get in your kits to make 5 more gift tags. I had plenty of extra labels to stamp and gold cord in my kit so didn't need to add any other supplies to make these additional tags.
In yesterday's post I shared alternate projects created with the Joy of Sharing Card Kit. Use this link to see those projects along with a video demonstration: https://bit.ly/2KpBSI9. I created 2 cards and a gorgeous collage with the help of my Facebook Live viewers. I loved interacting with my customers and viewers and getting their input as I create. The Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit is also on sale for $24.50, that's a 30% savings on its original price of $35. This kit is great for those who want to personalize their Christmas cards with a family photo or their fur babies. Already have your cards made and mailed? Again, why not take advantage of this deal and schedule a Christmas in July card making day? At this price, you'll be glad you did!

There's so much to love about our 2020 Stampin' Up! holiday kits. They're fun and festive with their holiday images in fabulous holiday colors. They include loads of die cuts and embellishments. They contain color photos and easy to follow directions for beginning paper crafters or for those who are pressed for time. AND, our kits are so versatile that they are also great for experienced paper crafters who are eager to think outside the box and do some designing and creating on their own using the kit contents.
The two holiday kits featured in this video replay of my December 9th Facebook Live are the Tag Buffet Project Kit and the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit. You'll see some examples of some alternate projects including gift tags, cards, and scrapbook pages I created with the Tag Buffet Kit. You'll then see me create 2 cards and a collage with the help of my Facebook Live viewers using the gorgeous Joy of Sharing Kit. I hope you'll enjoy watching this video and be inspired to create beautiful paper crafts for the holidays using our fabulous kits from the 2020 Holiday Catalog.
Both of the kits featured in my video replay are available at great saving as they are on the Year-end Closeout. The Tag Buffet Project Kit is just $15 at 50% off the original price of $30. The coordinating Tag Buffet Stamp Set is available for $18 or subsitute with one or your own for the sentiments on your handmade tags. The Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit is just $24.50 at 30% off the original price of $35. So why not consider giving yourself a little help this holiday season by purchasing a kit or two for yourself or giving a few for gifts. OR how about purchasing some kits at great prices now and holding on to them for your 2021 holiday paper crafting and gift giving. Either way, don't delay, though, as these kits and all items on our Year-end Closeout are available while supplies last only. Get them while you can.
I created 2 alternate cards with the help of my Facebook Live viewers using supplies from the Joy of Sharing Kit only.
One of the most beautiful sentiments ever...
I included a small die cut poinsettia and simple Merry Christmas greeting on the inside of the card to coordinate with the beautiful card front.
Here is the 2nd alternate card I created with the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit with my Facebook Viewers.
The inside of the card is just as festive and beautiful as the front of the card.
I created a holiday collage as my third alternate project using the Joy of Sharing Card Kit. I think it turned out great. Add a couple photos and frame it to decorate your home or give as a gift.
This makes a gorgeous scrapbook page as well.
I cut 2 pieces of Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper 4" x 6" to add more interest to my holiday collage.
Friendly Reminder: The Joy of Sharing Kit is now just $24.50 while supplies last. That's a 30% savings. Order yours before they're gone!

As we continue to prepare for the upcoming holidays, please remember to treat yourself with grace and kindness. Sometimes we try to "do it all" and end up frazzled and exhausted. I wish you calm and acceptance. Calm from taking time to relax and destress and acceptance to realize it can be a wonderful holiday season for ourselves and our loved ones even without "doing it all". So be good to yourself. Your loved ones will appreciate you gifting yourself self-love and self-care.
The beautiful snowfall we had in central Ohio this past week, really put me in a fun mood. I was recalling snow days growing up and then memories made on snow days with my own daughters. I liked to refer to snow days from school as "drop everything and play days". And that is exactly how this recent snow fall made me feel. I literally wanted to drop everything I needed to do and just play. But work calls and that was just not possible, and I didn't have any kids around to build a snowman or make snow angels with. BUT...I stayed very focused and driven from early morning 'til late morning, then bundled up and put my snow boots on to take myself on a walk around my neighborhood for a break from my many tasks of the day. That was the best bit of self-care I made time for all week. I looked around on my walk at just took in the beauty of the beautiful snowfall - the sites of snow on the tree branches, the sound of the crunching snow under my boots, and the feel of the cold, fresh air on my face. I felt energized and filled with joy. I snapped a few pictures along my walk. And so as the week went on and the snow melted and I took a look at those pictures, I decided I need to make a scrapbook layout of this first of December snowfall. So why not use that as a Facebook Live, right? In the following video replay of my December 2nd Facebook Live, you'll see my demonstration of my 2-page scrapbook layout. I tore card stock for snow hills, die cut stitched triangles for pine trees, and added some cute critters from the Freezin' Fun Bundle. I hope you enjoy the demonstration and feel inspired to preserve some of your recent memories too. Sometimes it just feels good to take in life's simple pleasures and just be in the moment, and then to reflect on their meaning and capture the memory. After all, sometimes it's the little things that really are the big things, so why not capture those memories too.
Oops...do you see a mistake in the photo above???
I forgot to color my raccoon. I'll be pulling out my Stampin' Blends to take care of that after I get this blog post out.
The Freezin' Fun critters are SO FUN to create with. They will be retiring so get them ASAP as all retiring holiday products will be available while supplies last only beginning Tuesday, December 8th.
This is the view of my backyard & patio I took in when I opened the window blind in my bedroom - a beautiful blanket of snow.
View of pond across the street taken from my front porch.
Do you recognize me all bundled up? This knee-length Columbia jacket is worth every penny I paid for it. Keeps me warm during my cold, windy winter walks.
View of the pond at the back of my neighborhood - home to lots of geese and a few ducks. I love the look of snow covered trees.
And now, it's time for me to dream of a white Christmas!

Quilt cards were the focus of yesterday's (June 2nd) "Make It With Mary Monday" on my Facebook Stampin' Peace VIP Group. Quilt cards give a warm, cozy, comforting feeling. I love them for cards offering sentiments such as Thinking of You, Get Well, Sympathy, Encouragement, Missing You, I Love You, and more. Send to family members and friends sharing special memories. Choose colors and patterns that you can use to welcome new babies or congratulations new parents and grandparents. Whatever papers, colors, and patterns you use and no matter the occasion or reason for sending, I believe your recipients will get a feeling of being wrapped in love with your handmade quilt cards.
Below are 2 sets of scrapbook layouts I made applying the "quilt style".

Yes, things are looking up! As we've all been dealing with this year's pandemic, remote learning, changes in the way we do business, I have found that in all of these challenges there have been many blessings. Families spending more quality time together, people reaching out to others when they may not have taken the time to do so before, people cooking and baking at home, neighbors helping neighbors with grocery shopping and sharing of hard to find goods, and in every situation creativity is at the heart of what we've been doing. We've found new, creative, and innovative ways to do business, to educate children and adults, to shop for what we need with less concern for material wants, to entertain and be entertained, to stay connected while keeping our distance, and to show appreciation for essential workers. Creativity at its best and all of this is cause for things "looking up". I'm not sure I want life to return to "normal" as we knew it. I like the slower pace and not running around crazy busy. I like sending more happy mail. I like taking the time to nurture me with home projects and self care. Working at home full time without going out for breaks or dinners out, means I'm truly scheduling lunch and dinner breaks for myself without feeling like I have to work straight through my day. I'm even enjoying cooking for myself a bit more. And if you know me, I really don't like to cook all that much. Now, baking, I love that...because I love sweets, of course. So yes, things are looking up. Our businesses, our economy, our schools will all rebound in time while we focus on being strong, being positive, being patient, and being creative in our everyday lives no matter how they look.
The Looking Up All Inclusive Card Kit seems to have taken on more meaning for me with all that has taken place in 2020. It's not just about cards anymore. It's about how I go about making cards, using the cards I make, and how I use them to interact and stay connected to the people I know and love and appreciate as well as those I may not know. I think it was just meant to be that this Stampin' Up! kit is staying with us another year to remind us to "keep looking up" no matter what life gives us. I'll look forward to more creating with this kit as well as the new kits we'll soon have the opportunity to create with.
Here's a look at a few alternate cards I created with a watercolor wash. I've also included a video replay of a Facebook Live I did in April showcasing Stampin' Up!'s 4 All Inclusive Card Kits at the time with helpful tips and how to's as well as several alternate projects. I think you'll enjoy watching it seeing creativity at work.
All of these beautiful cards let me close my eyes and escape to happy places. How about you?
Please take a look at the video below showing alternate projects done with other Stampin' Up! All Inclusive Card Kits including Notes of Kindness, Lots of Happy, and Three Cheers to You All Inclusive Kits also.

Stampin' Up! Heart Doilies are wonderful for creating Valentine cards and favors, but I'd like to show you a few more ways to use them. Watch my video below to see some of my projects using Heart Doilies and learn to make my cute little "Love Bug".
"These are the moments we'll look back on with joy."
What a beautiful sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set from the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog. I thought it would be perfect to use on this 2-page scrapbook layout I made using pieces from the Sale-A-Bration Kerchief Card Kit I earned Free with a $50 order. Stampin' Up! kits are always fun, but you double the fun when you find alternate ways to use your kit.
I used a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set on a decorated card from the Sale-A-Bration Card Kit. The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and punched with 2" Circle Punch and layered on Early Espresso card stock punched with the Starburst punch.
The Poppy Parade rectangles are the back sides of 2 of the pre-printed cards from the Sale-A-Bration Kerchief Card Kit. "Always Remember" is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and was stamped on the back side of a pre-printed label also from the Kerchief Card Kit. I don't throw away the labels printed in other languages. I flip them over and stamp them with the sentiment and color of my choice.
Changing the orientation of your card from the landscape/horizontal to portrait/vertical position is easy to do for something a wee bit different.
The Kerchief Card Kit contains pre-printed Thinking of You labels.
Again, I flipped a label pre-printed in a different language and stamped a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set in Poppy Parade ink.
Be sure to check out my demonstration of a Shaker Card I made using the Kerchief Card Kit on my January 5th Facebook Live. Click here.
Shaker cards are easy to make with Stampin' Up!'s Foam Adhesive Strips.
