Quilt cards were the focus of yesterday's (June 2nd) "Make It With Mary Monday" on my Facebook Stampin' Peace VIP Group. Quilt cards give a warm, cozy, comforting feeling. I love them for cards offering sentiments such as Thinking of You, Get Well, Sympathy, Encouragement, Missing You, I Love You, and more. Send to family members and friends sharing special memories. Choose colors and patterns that you can use to welcome new babies or congratulations new parents and grandparents. Whatever papers, colors, and patterns you use and no matter the occasion or reason for sending, I believe your recipients will get a feeling of being wrapped in love with your handmade quilt cards.
Below are 2 sets of scrapbook layouts I made applying the "quilt style".

Yes, things are looking up! As we've all been dealing with this year's pandemic, remote learning, changes in the way we do business, I have found that in all of these challenges there have been many blessings. Families spending more quality time together, people reaching out to others when they may not have taken the time to do so before, people cooking and baking at home, neighbors helping neighbors with grocery shopping and sharing of hard to find goods, and in every situation creativity is at the heart of what we've been doing. We've found new, creative, and innovative ways to do business, to educate children and adults, to shop for what we need with less concern for material wants, to entertain and be entertained, to stay connected while keeping our distance, and to show appreciation for essential workers. Creativity at its best and all of this is cause for things "looking up". I'm not sure I want life to return to "normal" as we knew it. I like the slower pace and not running around crazy busy. I like sending more happy mail. I like taking the time to nurture me with home projects and self care. Working at home full time without going out for breaks or dinners out, means I'm truly scheduling lunch and dinner breaks for myself without feeling like I have to work straight through my day. I'm even enjoying cooking for myself a bit more. And if you know me, I really don't like to cook all that much. Now, baking, I love that...because I love sweets, of course. So yes, things are looking up. Our businesses, our economy, our schools will all rebound in time while we focus on being strong, being positive, being patient, and being creative in our everyday lives no matter how they look.
The Looking Up All Inclusive Card Kit seems to have taken on more meaning for me with all that has taken place in 2020. It's not just about cards anymore. It's about how I go about making cards, using the cards I make, and how I use them to interact and stay connected to the people I know and love and appreciate as well as those I may not know. I think it was just meant to be that this Stampin' Up! kit is staying with us another year to remind us to "keep looking up" no matter what life gives us. I'll look forward to more creating with this kit as well as the new kits we'll soon have the opportunity to create with.
Here's a look at a few alternate cards I created with a watercolor wash. I've also included a video replay of a Facebook Live I did in April showcasing Stampin' Up!'s 4 All Inclusive Card Kits at the time with helpful tips and how to's as well as several alternate projects. I think you'll enjoy watching it seeing creativity at work.
All of these beautiful cards let me close my eyes and escape to happy places. How about you?
Please take a look at the video below showing alternate projects done with other Stampin' Up! All Inclusive Card Kits including Notes of Kindness, Lots of Happy, and Three Cheers to You All Inclusive Kits also.

Stampin' Up! Heart Doilies are wonderful for creating Valentine cards and favors, but I'd like to show you a few more ways to use them. Watch my video below to see some of my projects using Heart Doilies and learn to make my cute little "Love Bug".
"These are the moments we'll look back on with joy."
What a beautiful sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set from the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog. I thought it would be perfect to use on this 2-page scrapbook layout I made using pieces from the Sale-A-Bration Kerchief Card Kit I earned Free with a $50 order. Stampin' Up! kits are always fun, but you double the fun when you find alternate ways to use your kit.
I used a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set on a decorated card from the Sale-A-Bration Card Kit. The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and punched with 2" Circle Punch and layered on Early Espresso card stock punched with the Starburst punch.
The Poppy Parade rectangles are the back sides of 2 of the pre-printed cards from the Sale-A-Bration Kerchief Card Kit. "Always Remember" is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and was stamped on the back side of a pre-printed label also from the Kerchief Card Kit. I don't throw away the labels printed in other languages. I flip them over and stamp them with the sentiment and color of my choice.
Changing the orientation of your card from the landscape/horizontal to portrait/vertical position is easy to do for something a wee bit different.
The Kerchief Card Kit contains pre-printed Thinking of You labels.
Again, I flipped a label pre-printed in a different language and stamped a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set in Poppy Parade ink.
Be sure to check out my demonstration of a Shaker Card I made using the Kerchief Card Kit on my January 5th Facebook Live. Click here.

Stampin' Up! Memories & More Card Packs are great for so many paper crafting projects including cards, tags, samplers & collages, pocket page memory keeping, and even traditional scrapbook pages. Memories & More Card Packs are very affordable and go a long way in creating! In this video you will see me create a 2 page scrapbook spread featuring the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack (#150808 for $11.00).
Watch this past video to see lots of cards and a couple collages I created with the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack.
This card created by my friend and Stampin' Up! demonstrator Tamra Davis was the inspiration for my #applepicking 2-page scrapbook layout. I never would have thought to put Real Red and Pretty Peacock together, but I love it! It's fresh and fun - an unexpected surprise! I hope you like it as much as I do!
A trio of apples serves as a focal point.
Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon works wonderfully as an embellishment for this scrapbook 2-page spread.
I used Real Red Rhinestone for a bit of bling.
Hand-Lettered Prose Dies are great for making titles for your scrapbook pages and for using on your home decor crafts.

Last weekend, my daughter Andrea and sister Joan and I went apple picking. The weather was gorgeous, the outing fun, and the apples delicious. This apple picking venture inspired me to use the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set and coordinating Apple Builder Punch for some awesome projects. Check them out in the recent Facebook Live video below.

Andrea found a bird's nest.
Ok, I'm just going to say it now. before you watch the video. This Apple Builder Punch is THE BEST! I knew I would love it. I just didn't know how much!
(Unfortunately, the internet cut out at the very end of my Facebook Live so the video ends a bit too soon. We can do our best, but don't have control over what the internet may do during a Live video.)
3-D apples & pumpkins are easy to make with the Apple Builder Punch.
Twas the Night Before Christmas and all through the house...you know how it goes! I'm tickled that Stampin' Up! took inspiration from a favorite Christmas story of many of ours to make fun, festive products to help us get out Christmas crafting on. The Night Before Christmas Suite will delight adults and children alike with traditional colors and images that come to mind when we hear the words 'The Night Before Christmas'.
In the following video from a recent Facebook Live, I show you how I made loads of cards (including a couple of fun fold cards) and two Christmas collages with 2 products from the Night Before Christmas Suite. I used the Night Before Memories & More Card Pack (#150808 at $11) and coordinating Night Before Christmas Cards & Envelopes (#150440 at $11). These cards and collages were made quickly and easily; they're darling; and they didn't break the bank! I'd say that's a win!
