Punch Art is so fun. I'm always in awe of those crafters who can look at a punch and see something completely different than the obvious. Think of the Tulip Punch as the head of a reindeer with antlers from the Sprig Punch. This is just 1 very simple example of Punch Art. Many Punch Artist work is very elaborate with them thinking WAY out of the box with their ordinary shape punches. I'm not in that league, but am certainly intrigued and learning to look at my punches differently.
Here is another simple but Oh, So Cute, example of Punch Art. You can use circle punches and dies to create Mickey and Minnie silhouettes. Add a die cut bow tie from the Suit & Tie Dies and you have Minnie Mouse's bow!
For another example of easy Punch Art check out how I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch and Story Label Punch to make flower vases.

Free Cards for You!
As many of you know, I am currently enjoying my Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip in beautiful Maui. I'm so grateful to be able to do this job that I love so much and to be rewarded in this way for my hard work. I have had many people, including you my followers, who have supported in me in my business for the past 12+ years. I never knew that becoming a SU! demonstrator would bring me so much joy and happiness and countless friendships.
As a token of my appreciation, I am offering an ordering incentive for the 10 days I will be on my Maui Incentive Trip.
Get 10 Handmade Cards Free when you place a Stampin' Up! order of at least $30 at www.maryknabe.stampinup.net using Host Code RVJZ4VKD.
Place an order of $50 or more to get 10 Handmade Cards Free AND to be entered into my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine Give-Away.
This ordering incentive is good May 15 - May 24th.
As a former teacher and mom who made sure our family showed our appreciation for our children's teachers, school employees, and bus drivers, I can say a little token of appreciation goes a long way in helping people enjoy their jobs and stay motivated to do and be the best they can be. Tuesday, May 4th is Teacher Appreciation Day. I kept that day in mind when planning my April 28th Facebook Live projects. I created 2 sets of cards and a fun 3D gift tag that you can make quickly and easily and with limited supplies. All projects feature one of my favorite punches, the Apple Builder Punch. If you don't have it yet, I think you're going to want it after seeing this video demonstration. AND you'll want to order it quickly as this item is retiring on May 3rd and is only available while supplies last. AND if you can believe it, it is on sale for just $7.20 (originally $18.00). It doesn't get better than that.
The projects you're about to see in this video are not only great for Teacher Appreciation Day, but for other reasons as well. How about as a Back to School gift, a hostess gift, fall harvest notes, a co-worker gift, or simply to surprise someone with a little pick me up or gift of cheer? How about using these apple cards to send notes and gifts to the "apples of your eyes" - grandchildren or students on summer break?
I used Real Red DSP from the 2020-2021 Regals Paper Pack for these card sets.
In the following sets of cards, I used the NEW 2021-2022 Regals Paper Pack Collection. I LOVE the tone-on-tone patterns of the new 6" x 6" DSP's in Brights, Neutrals, Regals, Subtles, and 2021-2023 In Colors. These will be available for all to order on Tuesday, May 4th with the launch of our brand new Annual Catalog. Who knew that a simple $3.50 product could give so much dimension to an otherwise flat shape? That's exactly what our White Stampin' Chalk Marker does for these apples. It's my best $3.50 investment ever! It also works great for coloring the center of small flowers and so much more. Trust me when I say, "Everyone needs one".

I love punches. How about you? And I'm always intrigued when I see punches used in unique ways, in ways other than they are intended for. In the following Facebook Live video replay, I demonstrate making 2 different cards featuring some of my favorite retiring punches - Balloon Bouquet, Story Label, and Small Bloom. I also show you how to use a couple of these to make "vases" for our small blooms punched from Designer Series Paper. You are going to love these springtime cards!

Spring weather is upon us here in central Ohio - warm and sunny with light breezes one day and cold, rainy, and blustery the next. But we take the bad with the good because we all know that March and April showers bring May flowers and make our summers beautiful.
I can't help but think of spring when I look at the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set & Umbrella Builder Punch. (And those rain boots are too cute.) The Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper I used with these two products sure made for pretty spring cards. Take a look and be inspired.
Please note that if you love these 3 products featured in this card making demonstration, you need to purchase them quickly as they are retiring soon. The stamp set is guaranteed through April 23rd, however, the punch and Designer Series Paper are only available while supplies last. The punch and DSP are being sold at discounted prices! Get them before they're gone to avoid disappointment.
This would make a nice bridal shower card.
Here's a close up view of the umbrellas stamped on Ornate Garden Designer Series Papers. It's easy to showcase several of the Ornate Garden Designer Series Papers as well as the versatility of the Umbrella Builder Punch with these cards.
I stamped rain boots on to Ornate Garden DSP, cut them out, and adhered them to the inside of each card for a bit of added interest.
Stampin' Up! products featured in cards above - Click on any link below to be directed to my online store. Please note that the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set, Umbrella Builder Punch, and Ornate Garden Specialty DSP are retiring and are available now only while supplies last. The punch is selling at the discounted price of $7.20, and the DSP is on sale for just $6.00. Get these deals and lots of others before they're gone.
In today's video demonstration, I show you how to make a cute party favor or treat bag perfect for your spring occasions - St. Patrick's Day, Easter, birthdays, bridal shower & weddings, and so much more. Or how about decorating one of these treat bags for a teacher or graduate and enclosing a gift card? No matter the occasion, people are going to love receiving one of these sweet treat bags. What occasion will you create these party favors for? What Stampin' Up! products will you use in making them? Let your creativity shine, then share what you create.
I've chosen 2 beautiful papers from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper for these two spring party favors. The stamped image is part of the Oval Occasions Bundle and is absolutely perfect for celebrating Easter and Spring.
This favor is actually a bag with a tent-like band that slides over the closed bag. The bag can hold chocolates and other sweets, a gift card, and even a piece of jewelry. I'm sure you can think of many other items to put inside these favors.
I used Stampin' Write Markers in Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Bumblebee, and Terracotta Tile to color the stamped image below.
Here is a St. Patrick's Day party favor also made with Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. The gold metallic accents make this paper truly elegant and rich. The Gold Foil Shamrock was created using the Heart Punch Pack.
Fill this St. Patrick's Day treat favor with gold-covered chocolate coins or gold wrapped caramels.
I created this template so you have a visual of all the score lines. The darkened areas are the areas that are cut away after you mark all the score lines.

In today's post I have a video replay of a recent Facebook Live in which I demonstrate an easy-to-make Fun Fold Card and show you how to create shamrocks with the Heart Punch Pack. The Old Olive with metallic gold paper is from the Ornate garden Suite and makes these St. Patrick's Day cards elegant. And whether you're Irish or not, these cards are a nice way to express love and gratitude to those we are so lucky to know.
Cutting Dimensions to get 2 cards from 1 piece of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock:
With card stock in landscape/horizontal position, cut in half at 5 1/2" on long side.
Cut one of the half sheets in half again by cutting at 4 1/4" on long side. You now have 2 bases measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Cut the second half sheet of card stock and cut in half by cutting at 2 3/4" on short side. Score at 4 1/4" on long side and fold in half. You now have 2 mini cards.
Gold layer on front flap = 2 1/2" x 4"
DSP layer on front flap = 2 3/8" x 3 7/8"
Gold layer for inside of card = 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White card stock for inside of card = 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
These fun fold cards are so easy to make and definitely pack a "wow" factor.
The 4-leaf clover stamp and sentiment are both part of the Oval Occasions Stamp Set.
I love creating and sharing and consider myself so lucky to have the opportunity to share these shamrock cards and other projects with all of you.
Here's a close up view of one of my shamrocks created with Old Olive card stock, Ornate Garden DSP, and the Heart Punch Pack.

Thanks for being a part of my Stampin' Peace community. I appreciate you. May your week be filled with lots of love and happiness from people you are so lucky to know!
I love this card. I had so much fun making it and sharing it on my February 8, 2021, Facebook Live in my Stampin' Peace VIP Group. I love it, first of all, because it is a fun fold card, more specifically, a POP-UP card! I promise you that after watching my video demonstration, you will see that making pop-up cards really is fun and really is easy. And everyone loves getting a pop-up card!
The second reason I love this card so much is that I made a picket fence using the Banners Pick A Punch. I was inspired to include a picket fence on this Darling Donkeys card by a card I saw created by one of my Merry Stampers Team Members, Avis Anderson. I thought it was so clever. I'm looking forward to making more picket fences on my cards and scrapbook pages thanks to Avis!
These are the cards created by Merry Stampers Teammate Avis Anderson that inspired me to make my own picket fence cards. I was so excited when the idea to combine the Darling Donkeys Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set with a white picket fence. Thanks for inspiring me, Avis! I see more picket fences in my future.
Our Stampin' Blends make coloring these Darling Donkeys easy and fun. They are my favorite coloring tool. HEE- HAW! Who would have guessed this sweet little donkey would be the pop-up surprise inside such a cute birthday card?
Another look at this darling card!

With a few changes in stamp sets and sentiments these favors can be adapted for any occasion - birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, picnics and family reunions. While we may not be able to gather in our current days of social distancing, we can certainly send out these goodies as happy mail or drop off to those in need of some cheer or to show our appreciation. The time will come when we can once again gather in groups to celebrate special occasions such as showers, weddings, birthdays, retirements, and all other occasions, as well as the every day moments. Why not get a jump start by making some favors for these occasions while we are spending extra time at home.
So often we punch a shape from a scrap of card stock or Designer Series Paper and toss the left over. In this video, I demonstrate how with a little thought and planning, you can punch shapes in a way that will allow you to use the negative spaces left behind to make a second card equally as nice as the one made with the punched pieces. I've featured the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Pine Tree Punch with Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper. Take a look at my positive and negative cards in my FB Live video below. I'm positive you are going to want to put some of your punches to work using this technique.
A couple more pairs of positive/negative cards...
Since I was enjoying this technique so much, I decided to apply it to decorating our Gold Mini Pizza Boxes!
I used the 2 pine trees I punched from the card stock and DSP circles on the top box to decorate the bottom two boxes.
