Here is my alternate project using the Change Is Beautiful Kit.
Stampin' Up! April 2022 Paper Pumpkin Change is Beautiful Kit - Mary Knabe (1)I love all the bright colors and fun details of this collage. Use it as a scrapbook page or frame it for your home or to give as a gift.

The Bermuda Bay polka dot rectangles are the back of the tops of the first 2 flower pics I cut off. The Melon Mambo polka dot paper is from an envelope I cut apart.

I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo Ink and the butterflies in Daffodil Delight. Both are part of the wonderful stamp set included in this month's Paper Pumpkin Change Is Beautiful Kit.

The iridescent embellishments included in this kit are beautiful.

I cut a 1 1/4" x 12" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock, then tore approximately 1/4" off to get a "grassy" look.

Here's a fun Stampin' Up! video showcasing the March 2022 Beyond the Horizon Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I know many people are still waiting for their March Kit due to a shipping issue. I was fortunate and surprised to have received my so am sharing a few alternate cards for you here. This one stumped me a bit as all of the card bases are so beautiful, I hated to cover them up. After playing with kit contents for a bit, I found a way to embellish the card bases with sentiments and die cuts without covering up too much of each of the beautiful card fronts. I hope you like them as much as I do.

Stampin' Up! touches for Andrea's Bridal Shower

I've been a little quiet here on my blog and my social media channels over the last few days but for good reason. Sunday, Emily (my 25 year old daughter) and I hosted a bridal shower for Andrea (my 30 year old daughter). It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the bride with family and friends and seeing so many people love on Andrea. It was so fun and such a joy to be able to put some personal touches on the day using Stampin' Up! products I love so much. From favors and decorations to even using my Stampin' Peace Studio to host the occasion. Here are some photos of this special day.

IMG_6224 (1)The XOXO treat boxes were add ons to the January Paper Pumpkin Kit Hugs & Kisses. I put chocolates inside each one and added a pretty Polished Dots Embellishment to each heart tag and tied with gold trim.

IMG_6224 (1)I used the Heart Punch Pack, white card stock, Create with Friends Stamp Set, Blushing Bride ink, Champagne Foil (retired) and Petal Pink with Gold Ribbon (retired). They were SOOOOO easy to make. Both favors got rave reviews from our guests.

IMG_6362 (1)"Love" was stamped using the Create with Friends Stamp Set.

IMG_6354 (1)

You may recognize this home decor piece I made before Valentine's Day featured in a blog hop. It too was made with the Hugs & Kisses Paper Pumpkin kit. I put it on a shelf in my kitchen to repurpose it for the bridal shower.

IMG_6224 (1)

I used the January Paper Pumpkin Kit Hugs & Kisses to make banners also. I put several of the fun fold card bases together with ribbon to create the many banners I used to decorate my living room and shelves in my Stampin' Peace Studio.

IMG_6224 (1)Do you recognize these? I used our Celebrate Today Magnetic Board Kit to make this collage wall over a sofa in my living room where I showcased Andrea and Jon's engagement pictures. This kit is so versatile. I'll be able to change out the background papers and photos for future family events, special occasions, and holidays. The magnetic board and gold metallic clips will make it easy to do so.

IMG_6224 (1)

I purchased a photo box and wrapped it with Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon. Can you guess what I put inside? Postage Stamps and Thank you notes. Lots and lots of thank you notes I made for the bridal shower and the wedding. This was one of my gifts for the bride.

IMG_6378 (1)
IMG_6378 (1)

Stampin' Up! Notes Cards and Envelopes make putting together such a gift easy and inexpensive.

IMG_6237 (1)How many kisses for the Mrs. do you think are in the vase decorated with SU! Blushing Bride Ribbon? Guests used the white hearts with gold trim also from the Hugs & Kisses kit to write their guesses on. And of course, Basic White Thick and Blushing Bride card stock were used to make the sign. There were 221 kisses in the vase. 218 was the winning guess. PS. I kept foil on the top so I wouldn't be tempted to eat any of the chocolates. I love sweets, all sweets, especially chocolates.

IMG_6263 (1)I'm so proud of my girls and am grateful for the love and happiness they bring to my life. I never knew having adult children would be so much fun!

IMG_6265 (2)Andrea and her future sister-in-law and mother-in-law.

IMG_6376 (1)More photos of the happy couple. The cards on their were made with contents from the Celebrate Today Magnet Board Kits.

IMG_6237 (1)
Does anyone recognize this Designer Series Paper? I used Modge Podge to adhere 12" x 12" DSP to 12" square stretched canvases. These were hanging in my living room until I recently moved them to the sitting room off my Stampin' Peace Studio.

IMG_6360 2 (1)

IMG_6237 (1)I have a beautiful antique dining room set that once belonged to my grandmother then my mom. Since moving to my house in Columbus, I only have a small eat in kitchen and no longer have a separate dining room. The set is too big for my kitchen space and I didn't want to have it in storage so have incorporated the hutch and buffet into my Stampin' Peace Studio. They house my china and are used to display cards and other hand made crafts. It was used to serve the buffet lunch for the bridal shower.

IMG_6237 (1)I set up a couple of small table around my work space for salads and drinks. You will recognize my craft space behind the tables if you watch my Facebook Lives. I love that I can use and share my Stampin' Peace Studio in a variety of ways.

IMG_6243 (1)

I have 3 of these shelving units in my studio that I use for display and storage. On this one I hung more banners created with the fun fold card bases from the Hugs & Kisses Kit and displayed a few pictures of Andrea and Jon and a Love collage I made for Valentine's Day last year.

IMG_6241 (1)I had fun seeing Andrea take in the set up and all the personal touches for her bridal shower for the first time. I kept it a secret until she arrived Sunday.
IMG_6244 (1)I ended up buying this set of decorations for a pop of color on this big blank wall.

IMG_6243 (1)Pots of succulents and gift cards served as both center pieces and game prizes.

IMG_6243 (1)This game was a HUGE hit. It was fun hearing stories and memories shared as everyone tried to guess the ages of the bride and groom in the photos.
IMG_6247 (1)I used the SU! heart punch to punch Blushing Bride hearts to number photos of the bride and Soft Succulent hearts for the groom's photos.
IMG_6247 (1)

IMG_6247 (1)
Another set of DSP canvases to add some color and personality to the back corner of my Stampin' Peace Studio.

I realized I forgot to take pictures of the desserts - lemon bars made by Emily, a chocolate brownie strawberry trifle made by me, and heart shaped cookies made by our dear friend Rosie. They were all delicious.

Thanks for visiting. I appreciate the opportunity to share with you a glimpse of this special day in my life and the way I was able to incorporate my love of creativity and Stampin' Up! into the celebration. Perhaps, I have inspired some of you to add some of your own creative touches to your special occasions and holidays.

Stampin' Peace Hugs to you all.

Stampin' Up! January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Kisses & Hugs - Mary Knabe

All the hearts used and their decorations are from the contents of my kit. I added layers of Vellum card stock (8 1/2" x 8 1/2"), Gray Granite card stock (9" x 9"), Gold Foil (9 1/4" x 9 1/4"), and Blushing Bride (12" x 12"). I love the look of this collage - simple but elegant and fun and festive.

Here's a fun Stampin' Up! video showcasing the Paper Pumpkin Lots of Pun Kit and its contents to make funny cards to give.

I decided to make 3" x 3" cards using the contents of my Lots of Pun Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love how they turned out and look forward to using them as gift enclosure cards with various gifts and "pick me ups" for others are needed. Please note that ALL of these 3" x 3" cards were made with leftovers after I made the 9 cards as shown in the kit. I just added some card stock of my own for the card bases and layers of the 3" x 3" cards.

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Gifts Galore

Welcome to another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. It's always fun to create alternate projects with each month's kit, then join in the blog hop to share lots of projects with all of you.

6a01b8d1640c2c970c027880450ac0200d-800wi

Here's a fun Stampin' Up! video showcasing the Paper Pumpkin Gifts Galore Kit and its contents and the designed holiday treat boxes.

When I received my Gifts Galore Paper Pumpkin Kit, I knew that I wanted to make some gift card holders using the contents. In order to do that and maximize the contents of my kit, I decided to cut apart a couple of the white boxes. I cut each apart on all of the score lines as follows.

IMG_5037 2 (1)

I then used the box fronts and backs to make a pocket on the back of the Pile of Presents, Snowman, and Christmas Tree. Easy peasy. A bit of cutting with my Paper Trimmer and a little Multipurpose Glue and with very little time I was able to whip up some gift card holders - also great for cash and lottery tickets. I added a string to hang on the Christmas Tree or on top of a wrapped present and added personalized tags.

IMG_5033 2 (2)
IMG_5033 2 (2)

After making these gift card holders, I looked at the pieces I had left from the two boxes I had cut apart. I knew I could do something with the long strips of card stock that would have formed the bottom and sides of the treat box. I decided to cut the 8" strips in half. I then curled them, applied a bit of Multi Purpose Glue to one end and adhered the ends to form a small tube. Each roll or tube was then glued to the back of each of the festive shapes. Now I have napkin holders that will make a lovely display on dinner table for a party or gathering of family and friends. Again, super easy and super quick to make! The colors used on each of the shapes make anything you make with them festive and fun. You could even add some embellishments to jazz them up even more.

Did you all notice I had to cut my own carrot noses from Pumpkin Pie card stock???  The Old Olive snowman nose just wasn't doing it for me. Lol

Stampin' Up!'s introductory video to the July The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin Kit:

WELCOME to another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. The July The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin Kit is full of creative elements waiting to be played with. My oldest daughter recently got engaged when she in her boyfriend spent a weekend in Hocking Hills. I chose to make a 2-page scrapbook layout with my kit. I'll add pictures Andrea and Jon took on their special engagement weekend.

The Adventure Begins - July 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit

I used Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper for the two 12" x 12" pages. I think these sky and woodgrain prints coordinate nicely with all the elements of The Adventure Begins Kit. I'm really pleased with how nice these pages turned out.

I cut apart 1 of each of the 3 fun fold cards included in the kit, then layered the two pieces of printed paper for each with Stampin' Dimensionals. The white center panel of each fun fold card, I cut down to 5 1/4" x 4" and mounted them on 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Garden Green card stock to place photos on.

Paper Pumpkin Batter Up

As you can see, I made 3 cards, 1 each of the 3 designs in the Paper Pumpkin directions. I then cut the card bases down the center and used the 3 card fronts as focal points while the white pieces can be for photos and/or journaling special memories of a ballgame or of your favorite ball player. I added Real Red and Bumblebee card stock layers cut to 5 3/4"  x 4 1/2" behind the card fronts.

You can punch the ends of the small Real Red rectangles included in the Paper Pumpkin kit with your Banners Pick a Punch.

Here are some close up views of various parts of my scrapbook pages. I enjoyed embellishing the pages with the red and yellow resin dots included in this month's Batter Up kit.
