I'm so excited to share today's card and gift bag project with you. I absolutely love it. I created this festive card with products from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite. Talk about FUN. This suite has it! Traditional bright red and green patterns and a traditional theme of yummy holiday treats - gingerbread and peppermints. Be sure to download the project sheet using the link below for today's Free Friday Download.
As an alternate to mailing this card, you can give it the additional purpose of decorating a gift bag. Card & Gift Bag together, no lost cards or tiny tag. To do this cut a 1 1/2" strip of coordinating color card stock the width of your gift bag. Use a strong adhesive (like Stampin' Seal+ or Tear & Tape) on each end of the strip only to adhere it to the bag. Slip the card over the strip and there you go!

I love making my own gift bags! I purchase plain white and kraft gift bags of various sizes online (check out Amazon and/or google kraft gift bags). Then I decorate them with Stampin' Up! supplies - from Designer Series Paper and card stock to ribbons and embellishments. The possibilities are endless! I make them for holidays and specific occasions such as birthdays or baby showers. They're perfect for those "just because" gifts too. And nothings better than giving a handmade gift than giving it in wonderful handmade packaging. I know many of you like me love to gift our hand stamped cards. Why not decorate a gift bag to put them in for an added touch?
Below I show you in pictures how I made a pretty and festive gift bag for the holidays. The Adorning Designs Decorative Masks made it easy. I chose the snowflake mask, 1 of 4 in the set, sponged our White Craft Ink over it onto my kraft gift bag, heat set it, and added a fun gift tag I made as an embellishment. I love how it turned out. It was quick. It was easy. It was fun! AND, it was inexpensive to make! I'll admit, I am frugal when it comes to packaging gifts. I will not spend $4 on a simple no frills gift bag at the store when I can make something myself. And you know what? People love my handmade bags and want to save them so they can reuse them. That says a lot, doesn't it.
So follow my step-by-step pictures below, then give these Adorning Designs Decorative Masks a try!

A BIG THANK YOU for viewing today's post. I appreciate you visiting Stampin' Peace with Mary Knabe and giving me the opportunity to share my love of stamps, ink, and paper with you. Please let me know how I can be of service to you.
The Stamparatus is one of the BEST stamping tools you can have in your craft room. I HIGHLY recommend it for all stampers. It's #1 use for me is doing repeated stamping - like for making 100+ Christmas cards of the same design. BUT, don't think that is all the Stamparatus does because it does so much more! This video is the 2nd in my Facebook Live Stamparatus Series. I'll show you how to maximize your time and eliminate all that waste of card stock you often get with using Builder Punches.
(If you missed the 1st video in my Stamparatus series, you can find it further down in this post.)
This photo shows my set up before I begin stamping. Notice that I have the strawberry stamps on the top sides of the stamping plates as I stamp those first. The strawberry tops and leaves are each on the reverse side as I'll stamp those second in a different color. Remember to have the stamping plates in a vertical position when removing them from and placing them in the "hinges" of your Stamparatus base.
I really do enjoy making my own gift bags and coordinating tags. There's something very satisfying about taking an ordinary, plain bag and making it special! I typically purchase kraft and white paper bags for this purpose.

Missed Part 1 in my Facebook Live Stamparatus Series? No worries. You can view it here now. You'll see me demonstrate using the Stamparatus to stamp numerous die cut shapes with ease. This technique also maximizes your time when make several cards for birthdays and more. After viewing the video below, you can click here to see the entire blog post on it if you like.

Let me show you how to make gift box quickly and easily using a single sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. You are going to love it! The finished box measures 6" long x 3" high x 2 1/2" deep making it useful for so many purposes. Roll up a couple of ties for Dad or Grandpa for Father's Day or a cute onesie for the new baby. How about an assortment of gift cards and candies for new grads and college students? Cookies for co-workers? Concert or sports tickets? The possibilities are endless. Take a look at my "How To" video now, then give it a try. I'd love to see what fun or pretty paper you use to make your box and to know what occasion you make it for and what surprise you're putting inside.

As a former teacher and mom who made sure our family showed our appreciation for our children's teachers, school employees, and bus drivers, I can say a little token of appreciation goes a long way in helping people enjoy their jobs and stay motivated to do and be the best they can be. Tuesday, May 4th is Teacher Appreciation Day. I kept that day in mind when planning my April 28th Facebook Live projects. I created 2 sets of cards and a fun 3D gift tag that you can make quickly and easily and with limited supplies. All projects feature one of my favorite punches, the Apple Builder Punch. If you don't have it yet, I think you're going to want it after seeing this video demonstration. AND you'll want to order it quickly as this item is retiring on May 3rd and is only available while supplies last. AND if you can believe it, it is on sale for just $7.20 (originally $18.00). It doesn't get better than that.
The projects you're about to see in this video are not only great for Teacher Appreciation Day, but for other reasons as well. How about as a Back to School gift, a hostess gift, fall harvest notes, a co-worker gift, or simply to surprise someone with a little pick me up or gift of cheer? How about using these apple cards to send notes and gifts to the "apples of your eyes" - grandchildren or students on summer break?
I used Real Red DSP from the 2020-2021 Regals Paper Pack for these card sets.
In the following sets of cards, I used the NEW 2021-2022 Regals Paper Pack Collection. I LOVE the tone-on-tone patterns of the new 6" x 6" DSP's in Brights, Neutrals, Regals, Subtles, and 2021-2023 In Colors. These will be available for all to order on Tuesday, May 4th with the launch of our brand new Annual Catalog. Who knew that a simple $3.50 product could give so much dimension to an otherwise flat shape? That's exactly what our White Stampin' Chalk Marker does for these apples. It's my best $3.50 investment ever! It also works great for coloring the center of small flowers and so much more. Trust me when I say, "Everyone needs one".

As requested by so many who saw my original posts on my very fancy and very chic Oscar Night clutch, I did a video demonstration for my April 26th Facebook Live on how to make these fun party favors. They are great for Girls' Nights, bridal showers and bachelorette parties, little girls' birthday parties and tea parties, and so much more. You can also give them as "movie night" gifts. Perhaps, include and movie DVD or theatre gift card with this fun favor. One viewer even suggested using it as a "welcome to the neighborhood gift" with a movie and enough popcorn favors for the whole family. You could swap out popcorn for a chocolate bar and other treats or a notebook or journal. How about using it as a Mother's Day gift? Change up the paper for any occasion and the size to accommodate other treats or gifts. You can even make something more masculine - think wallet for Father's Day or a brother or an uncle or grandpa's birthday. So many possibilities!
Here's some individual photos for a closer look at my popcorn purses!
This is my Oscar Night Clutch also made with the new Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper available to order May 4th.
Item # 155761 $15.00
I love using tiny refrigerator magnets for my purse closures. These are 8mm x 1mm. I purchased them on Amazon.

It's a great project for everyone who loves to make, package, and give their hand stamped cards as gifts.

In today's video demonstration, I show you how to make a cute party favor or treat bag perfect for your spring occasions - St. Patrick's Day, Easter, birthdays, bridal shower & weddings, and so much more. Or how about decorating one of these treat bags for a teacher or graduate and enclosing a gift card? No matter the occasion, people are going to love receiving one of these sweet treat bags. What occasion will you create these party favors for? What Stampin' Up! products will you use in making them? Let your creativity shine, then share what you create.
I've chosen 2 beautiful papers from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper for these two spring party favors. The stamped image is part of the Oval Occasions Bundle and is absolutely perfect for celebrating Easter and Spring.
This favor is actually a bag with a tent-like band that slides over the closed bag. The bag can hold chocolates and other sweets, a gift card, and even a piece of jewelry. I'm sure you can think of many other items to put inside these favors.
I used Stampin' Write Markers in Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Bumblebee, and Terracotta Tile to color the stamped image below.
Here is a St. Patrick's Day party favor also made with Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. The gold metallic accents make this paper truly elegant and rich. The Gold Foil Shamrock was created using the Heart Punch Pack.
Fill this St. Patrick's Day treat favor with gold-covered chocolate coins or gold wrapped caramels.
I created this template so you have a visual of all the score lines. The darkened areas are the areas that are cut away after you mark all the score lines.

What's better than a Stampin' Up! holiday tag kit? How about a holiday tag kit at HALF PRICE? That's right. One of my most favorite Stampin' Up! Tag Kits, Tag Buffet Project Kit, is on sale now for just $15, that's a 50% savings. Follow the directions and you'll get 30 bright, beautiful, festive tags to add that something special to your gift wrap and gift bags. Already finished your shopping, wrapping, and tagging? Consider purchasing a few kits to have at the ready for next year. Better yet, get your friends and family in on the fun and host a "Christmas in July" kit party. Either way, this deal is the bomb! But don't hesitate. The Tag Buffet Kit and all products on the Stampin' Up! Year-end Closeout are only available while supplies last. Grab this kit and other retiring holiday products before they're gone. Click here to go directly to the Year-end Closeout section of my online store to see what's retiring and what's on sale.
If you make the tags in the kit according to directions, you'll make a total of 30 beautiful, large tags (5 each of 6 designs as shown below).
I took 6 tags (1 of each design) to use in making some holiday scrapbook pages that resemble wrapped gifts.
Tips for creating all of these gift wrapped scrapbook pages can be found by viewing my video below.
I also took 6 tags (1 of each design) and removed the white layer, then made Christmas Cards with them - card base in a coordinating colors plus Gold Foil Paper accents is all it took. I also tied the gold cord into bows for a finishing touch.
I used the white layers I removed from the tags on the cards above with the 5 extra pine tree die cuts you get in your kits to make 5 more gift tags. I had plenty of extra labels to stamp and gold cord in my kit so didn't need to add any other supplies to make these additional tags.
In yesterday's post I shared alternate projects created with the Joy of Sharing Card Kit. Use this link to see those projects along with a video demonstration: https://bit.ly/2KpBSI9. I created 2 cards and a gorgeous collage with the help of my Facebook Live viewers. I loved interacting with my customers and viewers and getting their input as I create. The Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit is also on sale for $24.50, that's a 30% savings on its original price of $35. This kit is great for those who want to personalize their Christmas cards with a family photo or their fur babies. Already have your cards made and mailed? Again, why not take advantage of this deal and schedule a Christmas in July card making day? At this price, you'll be glad you did!

There's so much to love about our 2020 Stampin' Up! holiday kits. They're fun and festive with their holiday images in fabulous holiday colors. They include loads of die cuts and embellishments. They contain color photos and easy to follow directions for beginning paper crafters or for those who are pressed for time. AND, our kits are so versatile that they are also great for experienced paper crafters who are eager to think outside the box and do some designing and creating on their own using the kit contents.
The two holiday kits featured in this video replay of my December 9th Facebook Live are the Tag Buffet Project Kit and the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit. You'll see some examples of some alternate projects including gift tags, cards, and scrapbook pages I created with the Tag Buffet Kit. You'll then see me create 2 cards and a collage with the help of my Facebook Live viewers using the gorgeous Joy of Sharing Kit. I hope you'll enjoy watching this video and be inspired to create beautiful paper crafts for the holidays using our fabulous kits from the 2020 Holiday Catalog.
Both of the kits featured in my video replay are available at great saving as they are on the Year-end Closeout. The Tag Buffet Project Kit is just $15 at 50% off the original price of $30. The coordinating Tag Buffet Stamp Set is available for $18 or subsitute with one or your own for the sentiments on your handmade tags. The Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit is just $24.50 at 30% off the original price of $35. OR how about purchasing some kits at great prices now and holding on to them for your 2021 holiday paper crafting and gift giving. Either way, don't delay, though, as these kits and all items on our Year-end Closeout are available while supplies last only. Get them while you can.
I created 2 alternate cards with the help of my Facebook Live viewers using supplies from the Joy of Sharing Kit only.
One of the most beautiful sentiments ever...
I included a small die cut poinsettia and simple Merry Christmas greeting on the inside of the card to coordinate with the beautiful card front.
Here is the 2nd alternate card I created with the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit with my Facebook Viewers.
The inside of the card is just as festive and beautiful as the front of the card.
I created a holiday collage as my third alternate project using the Joy of Sharing Card Kit. I think it turned out great. Add a couple photos and frame it to decorate your home or give as a gift.
This makes a gorgeous scrapbook page as well.
I cut 2 pieces of Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper 4" x 6" to add more interest to my holiday collage.
Friendly Reminder: The Joy of Sharing Kit is now just $24.50 while supplies last. That's a 30% savings. Order yours before they're gone!

As we continue to prepare for the upcoming holidays, please remember to treat yourself with grace and kindness. Sometimes we try to "do it all" and end up frazzled and exhausted. I wish you calm and acceptance. Calm from taking time to relax and destress and acceptance to realize it can be a wonderful holiday season for ourselves and our loved ones even without "doing it all". So be good to yourself. Your loved ones will appreciate you gifting yourself self-love and self-care.
Today I'm sharing alternate projects I made with my October Paper Pumpkin Kit - gorgeous holiday cards and a wine bottle holder to decorate a bottle of cheer for someone special. I love them all. What do you think?
For the following cards, I used leftover pieces form my Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit with Just Jade card stock. Nothing from the kit went to waste.
Wine bottle tags are such a joy to make. They personalize that bottle of cheer you'll be giving. Click here to learn how to make one with my video demonstration. Then make a few yourself for the holidays, birthdays, promotions, retirements, and any occasion you want to celebrate.
Paper Pumpkin Subscriptions make great gifts! Click on a link below to purchase a Pre-paid Paper Pumpkin Subscription for yourself or as a gift for a friend or family members.
