Take a look at this! My Fun Fold Gift Card Holder featuring the Magic in this Night Suite by Stampin' Up! is awesome, if I do say so myself. It's fun. It's spooky. It's creepy. It's even a bit elegant. There are so many interesting details making this gift card holder fun and fabulous. Enjoy my video demonstration from my September 9th Facebook Live, then give it a try. You can make these for any holiday or occasion by simply changing out the colors, paper, embellishment, and stamp sets to suit the theme. Be sure to share your creations with me. Feel free to show them off by posting to my Stampin' Peace Vip Facebook Group and/or Stamp 'n Scrap with Mary Knabe Facebook Business Page.
It's funny how I see so much beauty in this somewhat spooky card. I simply love the many fine details I see in the Designer Series Paper, stamped images, and other elements of this card.
It's easy to turn any card into a gift card holder by adding a "pocket" made from a strip of Designer Series Paper.
I colored the flowers on the Happy Halloween label with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker & a Blender Pen and the leaves with Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker.
By pulling up the panel decorated with the Happy Halloween label, one discovers a "card within the card". There's plenty of room to add a personal message to your friend or loved one here.
I don't care all that much for living spiders, especially in my house, but think these stamped spiders creeping inside this card are kind of fun for Halloween.
I used the Label Me Lovely Punch to "take a bite" out of the Designer Series Paper when creating the pocket to hold a gift card.
The Cherry Cobbler color adds a fun pop of color - I'd say it's a pretty good "blood color" for this Halloween card with it's "Open If You Dare" greeting.
I'm looking forward to sending a Halloween surprise to some special people with these Magic in this Night Fun Fold Gift Card Holders next month.

In my August 31st Make It With Mary Monday Facebook Live, I combined two of my favorite card making elements - fun fold cards and gift card holders. Take a look at my video replay to learn how to make it, then create a few of your own to use now or to make and use later, perhaps in the upcoming holiday season or for a future special occasion.

Yes, there is Magic in the Night with this year's gorgeous, a bit creepy, Halloween suite. The Magic is the Night Designer Series Paper is so striking with its patterns and images in shades of Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, and Pretty Peacock which was a surprise to me. While this color combination is bit outside of the box, it is still somewhat classic as it has purple and orange with black which we typically think of as Halloween colors. I love that Stampin' Up! is constantly challenging us and helping us to create with new combinations of color, patterns, and textures in the products they offer.
Truly, once I started working with the Magic is the Night Suite, I fell in love with it. Another thing I love about it, is there are many patterns in the DSP that I can use beyond Halloween, and their are two nesting dies that can be used with so many of our other stamps, especially large sentiments. I know that I will get my money's worth from these items. The variety of uses for this suite makes for endless creative possibilities.
Today's post features a demonstration of two Flip Flop Fun Fold cards I learned recently. This is the first time I created cards with this fun fold. I LOVE how these Halloween cards turned out. I'll definitely be making more Flip Flop Fun Fold cards. So enjoy the following video replay of my July 29th Facebook Live, then give this fun fold a try. Let me know how you like it too.
These two cards look like standard A2 size cards until they are opened where a Fun Fold surprise awaits.
I love the 2 nesting label dies in the Halloween Night Dies collection.
These iridescent pearls are like none I've ever seen. They add both an elegant and spooky vibe to this card.
This large spider was cut out with a coordinating die. I love how adhering it to the card front with a Mini Stampin' Dimensionas
Flip up the card front to reveal 2 gate folds and more fun Designer Series Paper.
Here's a look at the card opened all the way. Once again it is showcasing more fun Designer Series Paper on the gate fold flaps. The stamped spiders inside make the card more fun and spooky too.
What a fun way to wish someone 'Happy Halloween' than with this awesome card.
Here's a similar yet different Flip Flop Fun Fold Card also made with the Magic in this Night Suite.
Metallic Mesh Ribbon is so unique and really adds to the Halloween charm and spookiness of this card. I think Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon would be great for many holiday paper crafts for Christmas, New Year's, Silver Wedding Anniversaries, birthdays, and more! The possibilities are endless. It's also great for wrapping presents as it is 1 1/2" wide and is very easy to tie bows with without a lot of bulk.
Flipping up the front of the card reveals this delicate spider web lace Designer Series Paper.
A look at the card opened up. Notice on the front and back sides of the left & right flaps have a layer of Blackberry Bliss card stock under the Designer Series Paper.
More creepy spiders ready to crawl up this card.

I needed a card to send some get well wishes to a friend. I thought the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set would be perfect to create a get well card. I haven't used this old favorite in a long time, so it made me happy when I pulled it out and put it to use. I think it worked perfectly with the Fun Fold Card Layout I demonstrate in the Facebook Live video replay below. Check it out and then make a fun fold card to send to someone who needs good well wishes or just a "pick me up". You'll be glad you did.
You can find the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. If you aren't currently working with a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd love to earn your business. My first step in doing so will be to send you a complimentary copy of each of our current Stampin' Up! catalogs. Just message me your catalog request with your full name and mailing address.
This fun fold card looks interesting both closed and opened.
Rhinestone Embellishments add a nice bit of bling to my dandelions.
Don't forget to dress up your envelopes to coordinate with your handmade cards! It lets the receiver of your card know they are about to open something very special.
The next two photos show the back side of the fun fold card.
You know I can't make just 1 card at a time! Making 2 or more at once, helps me to keep a steady supply of cards on hand to use whenever I need them.

These fun fold cards really are fun to make and will be just as fun to give. The Snowflake Splendor Suite makes it easy for you to create and send "Snowflake Wishes for a Merry Christmas" to your family and friends. Check out this Facebook Live video replay for cutting directions, directions, and tips for making these cards.
My first fun fold card featuring the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper was created with Pool Party card stock and ink.
A view of the card open.
The Blue Adhesive Gems are wonderful embellishments. I used the darker ones on these cards but the light blue gems are gorgeous too.
Pacific Point card stock and ink was the best choice for the DSP sheets I used in this card.
View of my card open.
I centered the "mini card" and label on this card as opposed to having it toward the left side as I did on the first card.
On this card, the die cut label was adhered to the stamped Whisper White card stock with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to create a little more interest.

And what perfect time for making and giving these. Dads, grads, and teachers will love them. Or use them for birthdays and congratulations or just because you want to surprise someone with something fun.
The color combination on this Tri-fold gift card holder with the argyle DSP showcased is a take on black, white, and a splash of color.

The Folding Box Card is a fun fold card layout I've seen many times over recent years, but never tried until now. I love how it turned out. In my video replay of my April 16th Facebook Live on my Stampin' Peace VIP Group, you'll find a video tutorial and two versions of my Folding Box Card with both featuring the new Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper with its floral images in fresh summery colors.
The Daisy Punch compliments the Ornate Garden DSP nicely.
This is what the card looks like from the back.
I made a belly band to seal my 2nd Folding Box Card.

I'm excited to have introduced Monday's Make It with Mary on my Stampin' Peace VIP Facebook Group. Now through the end of May, I'll be going Live at 11am EST each Monday. A few hours before the start of each Monday's Make It with Mary FB Live, I'll post a list of supplies for you to bring to your craft table. That way you can create right along with me. Afterwards, I invite everyone to post a photo in the comments showing what they made. What a wonderful way to share creativity with each other.
Here is the video replay from today's Make It with Mary Facebook Live. My list of supplies today included a color card stock card base cut to 4 1/4" x 11"; 2-3 pieces of coordinating DSP 4" x 5 1/4"; Whisper White card stock cut to 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"; any stamp set, embellishments & trim you wish to use; and basic card making supplies (cutter, paper snips, adhesives, etc).
I chose to use Ornate Garden Specialty DSP with Terracotta Tile card stock, Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack, Gilded Gems, and Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I then proceeded to demonstrate an easy Fun Fold Card that viewers could make with their own choice of DSP, card stock, and other supplies. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's creations on my Stampin' Peace VIP Group this week.
I made a second card - same fun fold card layout, same card stock color, same sentiments, but I used the REVERSE side of each of the DSP's in the first card. A few changes, a whole new card just as great as the first. Boy, do I love working with the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP!
