I LOVE LOVE LOVE Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. That's no secret to many of you. Today's Fun Fold Card is perfect for showcasing your favorite DSP's. I call this my 4 Corners Fun Fold Card. Check out this video replay of a recent Facebook Live. My demonstration with cutting dimensions and clear instructions will allow you to make these 4 Corners Fun Fold Cards of your own. This layout is a great way to use up some DSP scraps too.
Card Base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
Basic White Layer = 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White inside = 5 1/4" x 4"
Cut 4 DSP rectangles = 1 3/4" x 2 3/8"
Don't you just love all the patterns and prints in the Well Suited Designer Series Paper?
I made another pair of cards using the same card layout and stamp set, but switching out the colors and DSP.
The Pastel Pearls and Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon are both beautiful embellishments to use with the Hydrangea Haven Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Stampin' Peace with Mary Knabe. I'm grateful for your support and respectfully ask you to share my blog.
I'm excited to be participating in my first Stampin' with Friends Blog Hop. A Card Sketch Challenge with a Birthday Theme is the focus of this blog hop. I created my own card sketch (my first of many, I hope) and then designed a birthday card with it. My card features products from the Pansy Petals Suite and one of our newest In Colors, Fresh Freesia. I hope you like this card as much as I loved designing it.
Card Sketch Cutting & Scoring Dimensions
***Please note that dimensions and shapes can be changed to suit your own creative expression.
Card Base = 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2" on long side, fold in half.
Card front layer (DSP) = 5 1/4" x 4"
Small card stock square = 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"
Large card stock square = 1 3/8" x 1 3/8"
Card stock for sentiment = use size and shape to accommodate your chosen sentiment.
Ribbon, trim or card stock to go across card front = 1/4" - 1/2"
Basic White or other neutral card stock for the inside of card = 5 1/4" x 4"
Such a pretty card for a spring birthday or simply for someone who loves flowers in general or pansies specifically.
The pansies were cut from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper using the small pansy die cut from the Pansy Dies. I fussy cut the small leaves from another print in the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper pack. I placed a small Pale Papaya rhinestone from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels in the center of each pansy for a bit of bling. I wrapped Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon around the entire card front and tied a knot at the right side. The sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set was stamped in Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White card stock then punched with the Double Oval Punch. I decided to layer white on white ovals.
I die cut another small pansy from Pansy Petals DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card for an added touch.

I'm excited to show you to make 3 cards with 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper with 2 Diagonal Cuts. It's really easy and so fun to mix and match colors and patterns just as I did with Stampin' Up!'s Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper. Rich, vibrant colors and floral images make these cards perfect for springtime card giving and a variety of occasion and reasons. Enjoy this April 2nd Facebook Live video replay, then start mix and matching your Designer Series Papers for a fun time of card making.
Start your cards by choosing 3 coordinating pieces of Designer Series Paper each measuring 5" x 3 3/4". Stack the 3 pieces of card stock. With DSP stack in vertical/portrait position, mark off 2" from top and bottom on right side and 1 1/4" from top and bottom of left side. Cut stack diagonally from top left pencil mark to top right pencil mark. Then cut stack diagonally from bottom left pencil mark to bottom right pencil mark. Sort stacks so that you have 1 of each DSP for 3 cards. DSP pieces will be adhered to Basic White card stock measuring 5 1/4" x 4", then adhered to card bases.
The Stampin' Up! products may be the same. The card layout may be the same. But embellishing the cards is where you can make each card unique as I did on these three cards.
Another set of cards using 3 different Designer Series Papers from the Flowers for Every Season DSP Pack.

I love black and white cards. I love them even more with a "pop of color". The True Love Designer Series Paper lends itself to these types of cards so easily. Use the True Love DSP as is but add color with bits of card stock, ribbon, and/or embellishments. I used Just Jade for my pops of color on the following 6 cards. These are so easy to make as they all use the same dimensions - making it easy to make lots of great cards fast to use now or build up your stash for later use.
I love layering punched shapes to add more interest to cards and make my sentiments stand out.
Matte Black Dots are a perfect embellishment for these black & white cards with a pops of Just Jade color.
Basic Black Card Base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
Basic White card stock for inside card = 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP = Cut 4" x 6" then cut 3/4" off one end. Both the 4" x 5 1/4" and 4" x 3/4" pieces will be used on your card front.
Just Jade card stock (or color of your choice) = 4" x 1"

Take a look at two styles of masculine cards I created with the Well Suited Suite by Stampin' Up! One card is created using several coordinating papers from the Well Suited Designer Series Paper pack. The other card is a fun fold card and features one piece of the Well Suited Designer Series Paper but showcases BOTH sides of it. Take a look at my video replay below of a recent Facebook Live I did. You'll get all the dimensions you need plus some tips for successful card making as you view my video demonstration of these two masculine cards. Of course, these layouts are perfect for any and all of your favorite Designer Series Papers.
I absolutely LOVE this Well Suited Suite but most especially its Designer Series Paper. It's perfect for making masculine cards to celebrate the special men and boys in your life. It's bright. It's bold. It's fun. I created two a great cards featuring this fabulous Well Suited Designer Series Paper. This card layout is awesome for any and all of your favorite Designer Series Papers.
Look at all the details, in addition to the many pieces of DSP, I used on this card to make it fun and interesting! Twine in Basic Gray & Night of Navy, Matte Black Dots, and card stock punched with the Double Oval Punch. They're all great separately, but together, they're a party celebrating your special guy!
The card below features one of my new favorite fun folds because I love being able to feature BOTH sides of my favorite Designer Series Papers as often as I can. This is another great card layout that will work with any and all of your favorite Designer Series Papers by Stampin' Up!
A little stamping on the inside of this fun fold card makes for a fun surprise!

Have you ever tried 2-step stamping? Well, if you never have (or if you love it), you need A Touch of Ink Sale-A-Bration stamp set. This Photopolymer stamp set makes 2-step stamping easy and FUN with it's beautiful line images and solid shapes for adding touches of color. You'll love the flowers, leaves, butterfly, and hummingbird images to mix and match. In this video replay of my February 3rd Facebook Live, I'll show you how easy 2-step stamping is plus show you how to add multiple colors to a single stamp.
Card bases in Petal Pink, So Saffron, Pool Party = 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2" on long side, fold in half.
Card stock strips in same colors = 1 1/2" x 4 3/4", cut bottom end at an angle as shown.
Fine Art Floral DSP in coordinating colors to card bases = 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White for inside of cards = 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Stitched Circles = use largest circle die from Stitched Shapes Dies
It's so easy to do 2-step stamping with a Photopolymer Stamp Set like A Touch of Ink. I love my Petal Pink butterfly and light Mossy Meadow leaves.
I love the simple message of HOPE.
So Saffron flowers on another pretty monochromatic card.
Pearl Basic Jewels add a subtle touch of bling to these cards.
Another beautiful monochromatic card, this time in Pool Party, to let a friend know they are thought of and loved.
Yes, you can add multiple colors to a single stamp image. I colored on the butterfly and hummingbird solid stamps with Stampin' Write Markers. I used Sponge Daubers and Classic Stampin' Pads to color the flowers. Be sure to view the video above to see me demonstrate each of these coloring techniques.

Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers - I just can't get enough of them. So many choices of DSP collections in an array of themes, images, colors, and patterns. Don't even ask me to name my favorite. I can't choose just one as my favorite. AND, yet, there is a common problem when I use my Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. Often times, I like many of you I'm sure, find it difficult to decide which side of the Designer Series Paper to use on my card or project. What's a paper crafter to do??? Well, in today's video, I have 3 solutions. 3 card layouts you can use to showcase BOTH sides of your Designer Series Paper. Yes, I said BOTH sides of the DSP. You don't have to choose. Hooray!
Please enjoy watching this video replay of a recent Facebook Live, then start creating with your favorite Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. And, if you come up with your own unique ways to showcase both sides of your DSP, be sure to share them!
Sweet raspberries in shades of Rich Razzleberry and a "book binding" fold make showcasing both sides of this paper easy and fun.
I snipped a 2" line from the center of the right edge to the middle of my DSP and folded back the corners to create this fun fold showing off both sides of my paper. It's unexpected, clever, and so easy!
I used a 3/4" x 4" strip of coordinating Designer Series Paper for an added touch to the inside of the card.
This sweet strawberry hello card was created using the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Punch out 4 pieces of DSP and flip 2 over so everyone can enjoy both sides of this cheery DSP.
I love the coordinating Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set & Strawberry Builder Punch! Do you have yours?

While I love a pretty winter snow (which is not happening in central Ohio this week), the gray days can be long and make me wish for warmer, sunnier days. Today's Sweet Strawberry birthday cards remind me of warm days and bright sunshine. I enjoyed making these cards and combining the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set & Strawberry Builder Punch in the January - June Mini Catalog with the Berry Delightful DSP from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. What a great combination of products. The Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green colors work so sweetly with them as well to create these bright, cheery cards sure to make anyone smile warmly.
Two-step stamping of the strawberry and stem is easy with Sweet Strawberry is a Photopolymer Stamp Set. You can see right through the stamps to easily line up the images.
The Timeless Label Punch is one of my "go to" punches for punching out stamped sentiments.
Poppy Parade card base = 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2" on long side and fold in half.
plaid DSP = 4 1/4'' x 2"
strawberry DSP = 3" x 4" (Cut your DSP to this size for 12 cards.)

There are so many reasons I love card making. I get to use amazing coordinating products in an array of fabulous colors and themes too numerous to name or count. I get to belong to a community of creative people who understand my love for stamping and paper crafting and inspire me to keep on stamping and creating. I get to express myself creatively and add my own personal touch to my correspondences. I get to inspire and teach others to enjoy stamping and paper crafting like I do. Best of all, card making keeps me spreading love, kindness, and happy thoughts in challenging times by sending the hand stamped cards I've made.
I made this beautiful set of cards to let friends and family they are thought of and loved. They feature the Hydrangea Hill Suite and Happy Thoughts Stamp Set - 2 of my favorite new products in the new January - June Mini Catalog. I hope you love these cards as much as I do. If so, you can download the Free Project Sheet I created for you.
So many beautiful details make this card AMAZING. Embossed card stock, Vellum, elegant sheer ribbon, and Pastel Pearls - I love them all. What a beautiful sentiment this is to send love and caring thoughts. I love that the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set (and so many others) have sentiments to coordinate for the outside and inside of our handmade cards.

True Love Designer Series Paper from the new Love You Always Suite in our 2021 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog makes it easy to create fun black & white cards with pops of color. While the Love You Always Suite does include images & sentiments for Valentine cards, it is also very versatile. This suite makes beautiful cards for anniversaries, bridal showers, engagements, and weddings and simply to tell people they are loved. AND, while the black & white True Love Designer Series Paper can make beautiful feminine cards with its many floral images, it's also great for making masculine using the geometric patterns sides of the paper.
So take a look now at my December 30th Stampin' Peace with Mary Knabe Facebook Live card making demonstration. I show you 2 ways to design cards using 4" x 6" pieces of your new favorite Designer Series Papers. You'll also get lots of ideas to add various pops of color to the black & white True Love Designer Series Paper for one-of-a-kind cards to bring love and smiles to those receiving your lovely cards.
The first 3 cards here show you how I used pieces of 4" x 6" DSP, cut down to 4" x 5 1/4" by cutting off 3/4" on one short side. But don't get rid of those 3/4" strips as you can use them on your cards as shown in my video demonstration above and photos below.
I began adding pops of color to the following card by coloring with Stampin' Blends in Rococo Rose and Old Olive. Notice how I used the 3/4" strip of DSP on the inside of the card.
Mixing and matching the fabulous sentiments and dies of the Forever & Always Bundle makes creating one-of-a-kind cards for special occasions so easy. How about that new Heart Charm embellishment as an accent on this card? I love it.
Utilize your strips of Designer Series Paper to add interest to the inside of your cards!
Ribbon and card stock in Just jade adds a simple touch of color to this pretty black & white card. Notice how I used the 3/4" strip of Designer Series Paper I cut off of the original 4" x 6" piece. Flip the DSP strip over for added detail.
Take a look at the gorgeous details in the DSP and dies used on this card.
Using Magenta Madness adds a BIG POP of color on the following black & white True Love card.
Magenta Madness sure makes a statement against the black & white.
A bow tied with Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon is a fun accent for this card.
In the following 3 cards, I started with 4" x 6" pieces of True Love Designer Series Paper with the geometric side up. Instead of cutting off a 3/4" strip, I actually tore the paper approximately 1 1/2" from one short side. TIP: When I tear DSP or card stock, I prefer to hold it so that I tear towards me from top to bottom. In other words, I turned my DSP in a horizontal position, held it along the top with my left hand, placed my right thumb and index finger at top approximately 1 1/2" from the right side and pulled the paper toward my body. I feel like I have control of the paper as I'm tearing when I do it this way.
I added pops of color to this card with Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. I love the exposed torn edge of this card too.
I added several pops of color with Sponge Daubers and ink pads.
Isn't this a great sentiment for a card for a special friend??? I love it!!!
Bumblebee Ribbon against the black and white DSP really pops!
This beautiful and glimmery Blushing Bride Ribbon adds a more elegant touch of color to this black and white card.
Please note that the Love You Always Suite products including the Forever & Always Stamp Set & True Love Designer Series Paper used in these cards will be available to order beginning January 5th.
