I didn't think I needed the Picture This Dies when I first saw them in the Annual Catalog, but boy am I glad I decided to buy them. I'm having so much fun mixing and matching colors, and papers, and images while making all these cards. With Picture This Dies and a little imagination and a lot of mixing and matching, the possibilities are endless. You can't go wrong with this product. Watch my video demonstration and see the different ways I used the rectangle Picture This Die. Soon, I'll be playing with the circle frames also part of the Picture This Dies collection.
Take a look at the many cards I created with the Picture this Dies and In The Wild Designer Series Papers. These 3 cards are the ones I demonstrated in my Facebook Live, then gave away to a few lucky viewers. LIKE my Facebook Page Stampin' Peace with Mary Knabe where I go Live 3 times/week.

Thanks for viewing today's blog post. I hope I've given you some creative ideas and tips for card making using the rectangle Picture This Die. I look forward to sharing ideas using the circle Picture This Die very soon.
I sure am excited about this post. I had SOOOOOO much fun demonstrating lots of Embossing Folder Techniques in a recent Facebook Live. You are going to love all the different ways of using embossing folders adding more value to your embossing folders. Embossing folders are a small thing that can make a BIG impact on our cards and paper crafts. The cards and techniques I show in this video feature Stampin' Up!'s brand new Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Definitely a new favorite embossing folder for me. I hope you find this video helpful and inspiring and fun too. I'd love to see how you use some of these easy and fun embossing folder techniques.
Card base = 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2" on long side, fold in half.
Basic White card stock inside = 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White card stock for embossing = 4 3/4" x 3 1/2
Card stock layers for So Saffron and Evening Evergreen cards = 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
2 rectangle corner layers for Soft Succulent cards = 3" x 4 1/4" or size of your choice.
Metallic Gold strips = 1/2" x 3 1/2"
The 2 cards below show the difference between the "embossed" and "debossed" sides of the card stock.
For the 2 cards below I applied Soft Succulent Ink to one side of the embossing folder with a Blending Brush, embossed the white card stock, then cleaned the embossing folder and then repeated the process inking the other side of the embossing folder before embossing the white card stock.
For the following 2 cards, I embossed the white card stock pieces, then applied ink. I used a Blending Brush to apply Evening Evergreen ink to the embossed card stock on the left and used a Stampin' Sponge to apply Evening Evergreen ink to the embossed card stock on the right. Two very different looks, a softer look versus a bolder look.

It's time for another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities monthly blog hop. Take a look at my alternate project for the Paper Pumpkin Batter Up kit. I used the contents of my May 2021 kit to create a 2-page scrapbook layout, perfect for capturing memories from one of summer's favorite pastime baseball!
After viewing photos of my Batter Up Scrapbook Layout, be sure to click the "NEXT PUMPKIN" to view the next Batter Up alternate project by Lisa Bernard. There are a total of 12 demonstrators participating in this blog hop.
As you can see, I made 3 cards, 1 each of the 3 designs in the Paper Pumpkin directions. I then cut the card bases down the center and used the 3 card fronts as focal points while the white pieces can be for photos and/or journaling special memories of a ballgame or of your favorite ball player. I added Real Red and Bumblebee card stock layers cut to 5 3/4" x 4 1/2" behind the card fronts.
You can punch the ends of the small Real Red rectangles included in the Paper Pumpkin kit with your Banners Pick a Punch.
Here are some close up views of various parts of my scrapbook pages. I enjoyed embellishing the pages with the red and yellow resin dots included in this month's Batter Up kit.

We used these beautiful 2021-2023 In Colors to make an amazing kit to wow your loved ones. This kit will have 2 ink spots and coordinates with our Expressions in Ink Suite in our new Annual Catalog too! I can't wait to get my hands on this kit!
Thanks for visiting www.stampinpeace.com. I hope you enjoyed seeing my Paper Pumpkin Batter Up alternate project. I hope you also take the time to click through the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop for 11 more alternate project for your May 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit.
I'm excited to once again be participating in the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We have several alternate projects for your April 2021 Paper Pumpkin SO COOL! You're going to love the variety of projects shown in this month's blog hop.
As soon as I saw this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit, I knew it would be perfect for scrapbook pages to preserve fun summer memories. I chose bold colors that were already included in the kit theme - Bermuda Bay, Bumblebee, Old Olive, Terracotta Tile, and Blackberry Bliss. The rainbow and large popsicles are from 2 cards that I cut apart, using only the card fronts. The small popsicles, fruits, and sun are stickers from the kit. The striped paper is from a lined envelope in the So Cool Kit that I cut apart. Card stock pieces are 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 4 1/4" x 6 1/4".
It's easy to add titles to your scrapbook pages with Stampin' Up!'s Playful Alphabet Dies (#152706) as I did here.
Stampin' Up! really does make it easy for us to create fun projects with their monthly Paper Pumpkin kits whether you choose to make the cards and projects with directions given or if you choose to do your own designing and make alternate projects. What's better than a Stampin' Up! holiday tag kit? How about a holiday tag kit at HALF PRICE? That's right. One of my most favorite Stampin' Up! Tag Kits, Tag Buffet Project Kit, is on sale now for just $15, that's a 50% savings. Follow the directions and you'll get 30 bright, beautiful, festive tags to add that something special to your gift wrap and gift bags. Already finished your shopping, wrapping, and tagging? Consider purchasing a few kits to have at the ready for next year. Better yet, get your friends and family in on the fun and host a "Christmas in July" kit party. Either way, this deal is the bomb! But don't hesitate. The Tag Buffet Kit and all products on the Stampin' Up! Year-end Closeout are only available while supplies last. Grab this kit and other retiring holiday products before they're gone. Click here to go directly to the Year-end Closeout section of my online store to see what's retiring and what's on sale.
If you make the tags in the kit according to directions, you'll make a total of 30 beautiful, large tags (5 each of 6 designs as shown below).
I took 6 tags (1 of each design) to use in making some holiday scrapbook pages that resemble wrapped gifts.
Tips for creating all of these gift wrapped scrapbook pages can be found by viewing my video below.
I also took 6 tags (1 of each design) and removed the white layer, then made Christmas Cards with them - card base in a coordinating colors plus Gold Foil Paper accents is all it took. I also tied the gold cord into bows for a finishing touch.
I used the white layers I removed from the tags on the cards above with the 5 extra pine tree die cuts you get in your kits to make 5 more gift tags. I had plenty of extra labels to stamp and gold cord in my kit so didn't need to add any other supplies to make these additional tags.
In yesterday's post I shared alternate projects created with the Joy of Sharing Card Kit. Use this link to see those projects along with a video demonstration: https://bit.ly/2KpBSI9. I created 2 cards and a gorgeous collage with the help of my Facebook Live viewers. I loved interacting with my customers and viewers and getting their input as I create. The Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit is also on sale for $24.50, that's a 30% savings on its original price of $35. This kit is great for those who want to personalize their Christmas cards with a family photo or their fur babies. Already have your cards made and mailed? Again, why not take advantage of this deal and schedule a Christmas in July card making day? At this price, you'll be glad you did!

Yes, things are looking up! As we've all been dealing with this year's pandemic, remote learning, changes in the way we do business, I have found that in all of these challenges there have been many blessings. Families spending more quality time together, people reaching out to others when they may not have taken the time to do so before, people cooking and baking at home, neighbors helping neighbors with grocery shopping and sharing of hard to find goods, and in every situation creativity is at the heart of what we've been doing. We've found new, creative, and innovative ways to do business, to educate children and adults, to shop for what we need with less concern for material wants, to entertain and be entertained, to stay connected while keeping our distance, and to show appreciation for essential workers. Creativity at its best and all of this is cause for things "looking up". I'm not sure I want life to return to "normal" as we knew it. I like the slower pace and not running around crazy busy. I like sending more happy mail. I like taking the time to nurture me with home projects and self care. Working at home full time without going out for breaks or dinners out, means I'm truly scheduling lunch and dinner breaks for myself without feeling like I have to work straight through my day. I'm even enjoying cooking for myself a bit more. And if you know me, I really don't like to cook all that much. Now, baking, I love that...because I love sweets, of course. So yes, things are looking up. Our businesses, our economy, our schools will all rebound in time while we focus on being strong, being positive, being patient, and being creative in our everyday lives no matter how they look.
The Looking Up All Inclusive Card Kit seems to have taken on more meaning for me with all that has taken place in 2020. It's not just about cards anymore. It's about how I go about making cards, using the cards I make, and how I use them to interact and stay connected to the people I know and love and appreciate as well as those I may not know. I think it was just meant to be that this Stampin' Up! kit is staying with us another year to remind us to "keep looking up" no matter what life gives us. I'll look forward to more creating with this kit as well as the new kits we'll soon have the opportunity to create with.
Here's a look at a few alternate cards I created with a watercolor wash. I've also included a video replay of a Facebook Live I did in April showcasing Stampin' Up!'s 4 All Inclusive Card Kits at the time with helpful tips and how to's as well as several alternate projects. I think you'll enjoy watching it seeing creativity at work.
All of these beautiful cards let me close my eyes and escape to happy places. How about you?
Please take a look at the video below showing alternate projects done with other Stampin' Up! All Inclusive Card Kits including Notes of Kindness, Lots of Happy, and Three Cheers to You All Inclusive Kits also.

I love Stampin' Up! Kits. My favorites are the All Inclusive Kits. They have everything you need including stamp set and ink spot, Pre-cut and scored card bases, die cut images and labels for sentiments, embellishments & trims, adhesives, and directions. Plus they come in a nice gift box. Make and use the cards yourself then use the box for a gift later. Or make and give the cards in its crafty box to a family member of friend. They will love your gift of handmade cards and can use them to spread sunshine and kindness to others, especially in these days when people need each other to reach out to them more than ever.
The Facebook Live video replay below gives you helpful tips for completing your kits as well as LOTS of alternate projects to create with your kit supplies. Make your cards using the directions provided or create your own alternate cards & projects or do a little of both. No matter which way you choose to use your kits, you are going to have fun and have amazing results.
