Happy Earth Day with Beauty of the Earth Suite

Happy Earth Day!Earth-tree-900x620

I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a project featuring a brand new suite launching with our new Annual Catalog on May 4th - Beauty of the Earth - today in celebration of Earth Day.  The Beauty of the Earth Suite includes the colorful Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set and coordinating Beautiful Trees Dies, Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper, Bark 3D Embossing Folders, and colorful Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.

Beauty of the Earth Suite by Stampin' Up!

For today's post I made 8 slimline cards quickly and easily and with just 1 sheet of Designer Series Paper. You can too! Simply follow my cutting dimensions and assembly instructions below. Easy peasy, I guarantee it!

Cutting Dimensions:

  • Card bases = Cut 8 measuring 7" x 8 1/2", score at 3 1/2" on short side, fold in half. (I cut 4 Night of Navy & 4 Merry Merlot.)
  • Basic White layer = Cut 16 measuring 3 1/4" x 8 1/4". (You'll use 2 per card - 1 on front & 1 inside.)
  • Card stock layer on front = Cut 8 measuring 3 1/8" x 8 1/8". (I cut 4 Night of Navy & 4 Merry Merlot from left over card stock that I had when I cut the card bases from my 8 1/2" x 11" sheets of card stock.)
  • Designer Series Paper = Use the Beauty of the Earth DSP with watercolor tree prints at the top and bottom of the paper with white space in the middle. Cut it at 6" (in half) through the white space. Then cut each of the two 6" x 12" pieces into 4 pieces measuring 3" x 6".
  • Wood Grain DSP (also from Beauty of the Earth DSP) = Cut 4 pieces measuring 2" x 3".

Beautiful cards looks very easy to do. What size envelopes would you use to send the cards? The medium envelopes you posted look to small. Thank you.

Sylvie Lauzé

Thanks so much, Sylvie.

Deb, the cards really are very easy to make. Use business/letter size envelopes that you can get at any office supply store or big box store.
