I absolutely love Poinsettia of all colors and sizes, perhaps, because I have a December birthday. When I first saw the Poinsettia Place Suite in our Stampin' Up! 2020 Holiday Catalog, I just knew I had to have it. I love the Poinsettia Petal with matching Poinsettia Dies that cut AND emboss the veins in the poinsettia petals. The Designer Series Paper is gorgeous and the Beaded Pearls so elegant. These products are featured in the Facebook Live video replay below in which I demonstrate how to make a Shadow Box Card. Making this Fun Fold Card is actually quite a simple process, and the Shadow Box cards fits nicely in a standard medium envelope as it is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" when lying flat.
The Red Velvet poinsettia pairs beautifully with the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper used on the front of this Shadow Box. The design of the Poinsettia Place DSP on the inside of this Shadow Box card matches the design on the Plush Poinsettia Paper on the front of the card. So many beautiful details coordinating on this gorgeous card.
I've changed quite a few elements in the 2nd poinsettia Shadow Box card I made. The card base is made of Old Olive card stock on front and Whisper White for the back/inside layer. I moved the Poinsettia Place DSP to the front of the card, changed out the sentiment for a larger one and embellished the card front with Holiday Rhinestones in gold. The poinsettia is made of Red Foil Paper, uses the Beaded Pearl for its center, and has loops of Old Olive Ribbon with a sparkly edge behind it.
Here are a couple different views of the Shadow Box Card.
- Cut 2 pieces of card stock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". With card stock in horizontal direction, score at 1/2" and 1" on both ends.
- Cut DSP for front and/or inside 4 1/4" x 3 1/2".
