Create Pretty Peonies Perfectly Every Time

These is so much to love about the new Peony Garden Suite. I love it for so many reasons - its gorgeous and versatile Prized Peony stamp set and coordinating Peony Dies, the textured pattern of the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder, and the soft and elegant images and patterns of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. The suite also contains Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon, Square Vellum Doilies, and Elegant Faceted Gems in 3 colors and 2 sizes all to help you create stunning cards and paper crafts.  Get a glimpse of ALL the Peony Garden Suite products in this Stampin' Up! video. Then keep reading and see my own video demonstration to make 3-D peonies.

Despite all the beauty in the Peony Garden Suite, I have to admit, the Peony Dies were quite overwhelming and even a bit intimidating to me when I first glanced at them. I did use the dies that coordinated with the floral images in the stamp set, but avoided the other dies in the set. BUT then I knew I just had to learn to use them when I saw the beautiful 3-D peonies people were making with them. Boy, was I thrilled to find out just how easy the 3-D peonies are to make. Job well done, Stampin' Up! I appreciate how all the pieces slip together and you can match up all the bottom edges of the flower petals to get the perfect peony every time.

I want to show you how to make gorgeous die cut peonies every time. Watch my Facebook Live video replay and follow along. I go through the process twice, but trust me you'll get it by the time I make the first one.

I used Petal Pink card stock for my very first die cut peony. I love how it looks against the Very Vanilla card stock embossed with Dainty Diamonds.

This bright white peony is clean and classic and looks stunning against the textured Petal Pink card stock. The photo doesn't do it justice as you can't see the shimmer of the Wink of Stella applied around the edges of the flower petals and leaves and the flower center.

The bow made of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon pairs nicely with the shimmer of the Wink of Stella along the edges of the flower petals and leaves.

On my last card, I sponged Petal Pink ink on the edges of the die cut pieces before I put my peony together.

You made that so much easier. Now will try this set. Was putting it off because there was so many pieces. Beautiful cards.
