On my October 19th Make It with Mary Monday Facebook Live, I introduced a new easy card sketch and used it to make 3 different cards. This card sketch is so simple to cut and prep and very quick to make. Each of the cards I made in my video demonstration feature the festive 'Tis the Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack.
Cutting Dimensions for all three cards:
Card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" on long side, folded in half.
DSP Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White card stock strip - 1/2" x 5 1/4" or scrap to stamp & punch sentiment
Two 1 1/2" squares of DSP or card stock
One 2" square of DSP or card stock
'Tis the Season for candy canes!
The following card may be my favorite of the three cards because of the gorgeous plaid and holly papers used.
I changed the orientation of this third card to vertical. Holiday Rhinestones contain 5 different colors of rhinestones to embellish your holiday cards and paper crafts with. Red Rhinestones also are great for these cards as are Gold Gilded Gems. I love having so many wonderful embellishments to choose from when I stamp and create.
Turn any card into a cash or gift card holder instantly by adhering a "pocket" made from Designer Series Paper. This pocket measures 2" x 4".
FYI...The 'Tis the Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper is on sale 15% off now through October 31st. Pay just $9.78 instead of $11.50. We have 14 other Designer Series Papers on sale at 15% off through October 31st as well. Click here to see all 15.

I'm excited to share with you the Triple Layer Stamping Technique. I demonstrated this technique in a recent Facebook Live. The cards I show in my video feature a traditional theme with the holly & berries stamp from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set, a Stampin' Up! favorite returning for a second holiday season. I hope you'll watch my video and learn this wonderful stamping technique then apply it to your own hand stamped cards. Cutting dimensions and a complete supply list can be found below.
I love holly & berries. They're such a traditional part of Christmas and holiday decor. I knew the holly & berries stamp from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set would be perfect for making a traditional Christmas card with the Triple Layer Stamping Technique. I love these card. How about you?
The stamped and colored holly & berries dress up the envelopes as much as they do the cards themselves.
The sentiment inside the card is a continuation of the sentiment on the front of the card. I love when Stampin' Up! pairs sentiments for both inside and outside of our hand stamped cards.
The card below is the vertical version of the card above.
Colored Card Stock- 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" for card base, 4 1/4" x 3", and 3 1/4" x 2"
Whisper White Card Stock - 5 1/4" x 4", 4" x 2 3/4", and 3" x 1 3/4"

The Snow Wonder is a festive and fun stamp set with a darling old-fashioned looking snowman. But, don't over look the little holiday wreath stamp in it. I used that image and a lovely sentiment to make this traditional holiday card. Enjoy the photos. Then download the Free Project I provided so you can make this card. Change up the color combination for alternate versions of this holiday card.
Lots of layers but still a simple card.
I stamped the wreath in Old Olive ink then colored with Stampin' Blends in Old Olive and Real Red.
It's time to get your spooky on and create some fun Halloween cards for all your little ghosts and goblins, princesses and pirates, and favorite trick-or-treaters everywhere. Here's a quick and easy card sure to delight little ones and big ones who still love acting like kids on Halloween. Be sure to download my free PDF Project Sheet below the photos for supply list, cutting dimensions, and instructions.
The Festive Corner Halloween stamp makes a fun "surprise inside".
Embossing takes your handmade cards to an extraordinary level. Whether you emboss with embossing folders or embossing powders & heat tool, your cards are sure to impress. You can do both of these techniques on all sorts of papers including card stock, vellum, and foil paper. In the video demonstration below, I'll show you "dry" embossing with the Evergreen Forest 3-D Embossing Folder and "heat" embossing with Gold Embossing Powder and Heat Tool. Both of these techniques will help you create extraordinary cards.
The Evergreen Forest 3-D Embossing Folder with the Brass Foil Paper makes this card simple yet elegant.
The Brushed Metal Card Stock pack has 2 sheets each of the 3 colors used on this card. All 3 colors are gorgeous and work well with the Gold Cards & Envelopes.
There is such beautiful detail in the Evergreen Forest 3-D Embossing Folder.
I used both the embossing folder technique and heat embossing technique on these 2 cards.
The Banners Pick A Punch gives you 2 choices of how to punch banners with 1/2", 3/4", and 1" strips.

Happy October! Today also marks the beginning of a brand new Stampin' Up! year. Through the course of 2020, I have challenged myself to learn and grow and try new things. I've taken some business training and participated in Stampin' Up! Leadership Summit. As I look ahead to the new year, I am excited. I'm encouraged. I'm motivated. I'm goal driven. I'm striving to better my best in all areas. I'm happy to be continuing on in my Stampin' Up! journey.
In my September 28, 2020, Make It with Mary Monday Facebook Live, I introduced one of the easiest card sketches ever. I love using this card sketch to show off Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. The cards I made in the video below all feature the absolutely stunning Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. The fall prints, colors, and metallic accents make this one of my most favorite paper packs ever. I also used the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set and coordinating punches in the 3 cards you'll see in my video and in the photos below. Enjoy this card making demonstration and consider the limitless possibilities when using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers with this easy card sketch.
The card sketch used to make each of these Beautiful Autumn cards is perfect for showing off the many different prints in the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim and Gilded Gems work so well with the Gilded Autumn Suite products as seen on this card.
A few leaves stamped in Mint Macaron dress up the inside of this card nicely.
The following 2 cards use some of the prints with metallic accents that make the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper classy and elegant.
I embellished this card with leaves and acorns punched from Designer Series Paper with the Autumn Punch Pack and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The ribbon is one from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack.
Layers I used on the inside of the card match the layers on the front of the card.
A very similar card to the one above, this one uses a couple different papers, Cajun Craze ink, & a Mint Macaron ribbon.
I love the basket weave detail and sheen of this Mint Macaron ribbon.
Card Base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
DSP = 3 different pieces each measuring 1" x 4" and 1 piece measuring 2" x 4"
2 pieces of Foil Paper (or card stock) for front & inside = 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"
2 pieces of Very Vanilla for front & inside = 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Are you like me? You like cards with a "wow" factor but aren't into making cards that take so much precious time to make? My Magic in this Night Easel Cards have that "wow" factor and are both fun and easy to make with my video demonstration. There are so many variations on the Easel Card (I'll show some in future videos), but this one is the most simple I think. So if you've never made an Easel Card, or even if you have, I hope you'll check out my video below. It won't be long before we'll want to get some festive Halloween cards in the mail to our favorite people and some who may just need a fun pick-me-up.
A couple of Easel Cards with a bit of magic in them. "Magic?" you ask. I believe there's a bit of "magic" in the limitless possibilities we have creating with Magic in this Night Suite products from Stampin' Up!
Easel Cards as seen from the side while in standing position.
The Cat Punch is a nice addition to the Magic in this Night Suite. Punch your Black Glitter Paper glitter side up, then again with the glitter side down to get cats facing different directions.
Easel Card fully opened. As you can see there's plenty of space to write a Halloween message.
The punched Story Label and 1 1/2" Circle each have Stampin' Dimensionals under them. These stacked labels are what hold the card front up as if on an easel.
So many details make this Halloween card spooky and a bit elegant too.
I cut the lacy bats on the following card from Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper with the Halloween Magic Dies.
I used the Metallic Mesh Ribbon in a unique way on the front of this card. No Bow. No knot.
I love how the bats seem to be "flying" off this Easel Card.
Easel Cards folded flat and ready to be put into an envelope and sent off with a fun Halloween greeting to someone you love.
Cutting Dimensions for the Easel Cards in my video:
Card base = 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", score at 2" & 4 1/4" on long side.
Card front card stock = 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Card front DSP = 4" x 4"
Inside of card card stock = 4" x 4"
DSP strip = 4" x 1 1/2"
To enclose an Easel Card Diagram & How to Display note like the ones pictured below, download the following link then print and cut.
'Tis the Season to be making your own Christmas cards, and I can offer you a little help with my latest Make It With Mary Monday Facebook Live video replay. The following demonstration features 2 different cards, each made with the same dimensions for the card stock and Designer Series Paper pieces. As you can see, though, I've chosen different colors based on the different patterns I chose in the "Tis the Season Designer Series Paper Pack. If you like to have a variety of small prints and patterns in your paper, this 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack is for you. The Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set is a great addition to any stamp collection as it provides so many different sentiment for the holiday season that also coordinate with a variety of punches.
Here are the cutting dimensions I gave for my September 21st Make It With Mary Facebook Live:
card base = 4 1/4" x 11 1/2", score at 5 1/2" on long side and fold in half
inside of card = First layer is 4" x 5 1/4". Second layer is 3 3/4" x 5".
DSP front of card = 4" x 5 1/4"
card stock strip = 1 3/4" x 5 1/4"
2 DSP squares = 2" x 2"
2 card stock squares = 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
I hope you enjoy this video and feel inspired to make some of these cards too.
Here are my 2 different cards side by side.
There are so many wonderful patterns and images in the 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper it makes it hard to choose. Fortunately, with these cards I use 3 different ones.
This up close view makes it easy to see all the different elements and details of this card that make it fun and interesting.
I decide to layer my Whisper White card stock on top of Real Red card stock for the inside of this card, still plenty of room to stamp and image or sentiment and write a personal message.
My second card using the 'Tis the Season DSP with all the same cutting dimensions as the first card but with different papers and card stock colors and a different layout.
There are lots of festive details on this card also.
