It's feeling like summer in Ohio this week which makes me look forward to long bike rides, lazy afternoons by the pool, pretty flowers in pots on my porch and patio, picking up fresh fruit and vegetables at the local farm market, picnics with family, and enjoying cold glasses of lemonade. Making fresh, fun cards is easy peasy lemon squeezy with the Stampin' Up!'s Lemon Zest Stamp Set and coordinating Lemon Builder Punch. Create and send Lemon Zest cards with happy greetings for the birthday guy or gal or someone you love.
Create Lemon Zest cards with messages of encouragement and inspiration for those needing a bright and cheery pick me up! I love the versatility of the sentiments in this stamp set!
And...Lemon Zest isn't just for making lemons and lemonade! How about using the lemon stamps to make limes? How about lemon, lime, orange, and grapefruit slices? Change up your colors to make all kinds of citrus fruits for even greater variety of cards.
Please note that the Lemon Zest Stamp Set and Lemon Builder Punch are both retiring. Get them while supplies last! You might also want to pick up a Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad and accessories as those are also retiring. ALL Last Chance Products are available on a WHILE SUPPLIES LAST ONLY through June 3rd.
It's time to retire some of our Stampin' Up! products to make way for a new Annual Catalog and new product releases on June 4th. All Retiring Products are on a "while supplies last" basis. Don't miss out on getting the 2017-2019 In Color Products you want, especially the ink refills and card stock as they will go quickly. All Designer Series Papers will be retiring as well as Adhesive Sheets, the Stamparatus Craft & Carry Tote, Large Letter Framelits Dies and many other die cuts and embossing folders, numerous stamp sets including Lovely As A Tree (yes, it's true), ribbons, trims, and embellishments and more!
Contact me to place your order. Be sure to have Item Number, Name, and Price for each product you are ordering. Or order online 24/7 at www.maryknabe.stampinup.net using Host Code BGAK6DGD. Do not use host code when ordering $150+ as you will receive Stampin' Rewards you can use toward free products.
I CASE'd this card of mine from several years ago (notice the Watermelon Wonder color)... and made this... and this...
I had fun doing a "throwback" by pulling a card from "the archives" and CASE'ing it using the Broadway Bound Suite. The card layout is very simple and easy to replicate. The product suite is full of fun stamps, dies, and embellishments plus bright colors, metallic gold, and fun images and patterns in the coordinating Designer Series Paper. All the elements combine to make fun, fabulous birthday cards.
I added a Thursday, April 11th "late night stamping" Facebook Live to demonstrate how I CASE'd my own card using a simple layout and coordinating products. I hope you are inspired by my demonstration and do some CASE'ing of this layout on your own. I would love to see what you make!
FYI...The Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper is on the Retirement List that Stampin' Up! will publish at 1pm MNT. Order it now before it's gone!
What fun cards I made using a Creative Creases/Fun Folds card base! It was so much fun to feature the Animal Expedition Suite with these cards too. Watch my demonstrations from this week's Facebook Live on Stamp 'n Scrap with Mary Knabe. I think you'll want to make an Accordion Fold Pop-Up Card too after seeing how easy it is to make! Be sure to catch my Facebook Live's every Tuesday at 7pm EST on Stamp 'n Scrap with Mary Knabe for more creative inspiration and projects.
It won't be long now that the 2017-2019 In Colors will be retiring. Which is your favorite - Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink or Tranquil Tide? If you want or need any products in these colors, I recommend you get them now, BEFORE the Retirement List is announced in a few weeks. Retiring In Color products typically sell out very quickly, some in a matter of days or even hours, and if history repeats itself, they will not be discounted. If you have the ink pad, you should get the refill while you still can. Is your card stock in your favorite retiring In Color running low, order it now. Want more coordinating ribbons and embellishments, order them now. Please do not wait for the Retirement List to be announced to order any of the 2017-2019 In Color Products. I don't want any of my customers having buyer's remorse. I like happy customers!
I made the birthday cards below with the 2017-2019 In Colors and the Around the Corner Stamp Set and Balloon Bouquet Punch. Aren't they sweet? I never tire of punching balloons and popping them up on Dimensionals. I think these cards could work as Congratulations cards too.
I discovered another use for pocket cards and want to share it with your. JOURNALING in scrapbooks. That's right. Put a twist on how you journal in your scrapbooks and memory books by including pocket cards on your pages and then journal on them. You can add simple title or the who, what, where, when on the exposed part of the card and a more personal thought on the inside. You can even use the pocket card to add a "surprise" photo.
PS...If you want to see how I made these pocket cards, see the FB Live video I posted on my March 24th Stampin' Peace blog post: http://bit.ly/2CxmW3K
Versatility is one of the great features of Stampin' Up! products. I love that with a bit of creativity and thinking "outside the box", we can discover (or watch others discover) new ways to use products beyond what they were originally intended for. The 2018 Holiday Catalog contains several products that can be used during the holiday season and well beyond into the new year. The Wishing You Well stamp set is one of those products. Here I made several cards to be used as thank you notes. You choose the colors based on the occasion or need for the card. This card is quick and easy to make. Be sure to download the PDF Project Sheet I included below.
Happy Autumn, Happy October, Happy New Stampin' Up! Year, my Stampin' Friends!
October is such a great month. I love seeing the color of the leaves change from shades of green to brilliant yellows, oranges, and reds. I enjoy the crisp cool temperatures, especially when the sun is shining brightly and the sky is a beautiful blue. I love college football season and wearing my Scarlet and Gray (Go Buckeyes!). I enjoy decorating for Halloween and welcoming trick-or-treaters. (I've got several specials ones back in the Cincinnati area.) And I especially love the excitement and challenge of a new Stampin' Up! year.
At this time, I like to reflect back on the past Stampin' Up! year...what I liked or enjoyed the most, what I learned, and what I'd like to do differently in my business in the coming year. Change can come from need or desire. Learning from the past and accepting change help us grow both personally and professionally, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Thinking of the past year is the first step I take in setting new goals for myself. This year, I am challenging myself in new ways and setting some pretty high goals that will require lots of planning, hard work, and commitment. I want to increase my sales to a new personal high. I want to increase my team in both size and title performance, and I want to reach the next levels of my demonstratorship, Gold and Gold Elite.
I thank you all for your encouragement, support, and friendship you have shown me in my 10 years as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Please know that I appreciate you and do not take you for granted. I look forward to more stamping and creating with you.
Since moving from Cincinnati to Columbus, I've decided to continue to host stamp classes and other events in the Cincinnati as well as work on building a customer base and class schedule in my new community of Westerville and the Columbus area. This will be quite an undertaking to schedule as I also started a new job as a caregiver with Visiting Angels. I'll be striving to post more consistently to my social media sites and will introduce Online Classes or Classes to Go. Of course, working with my Merry Stampers Team of Demonstrators is also ranks high on my to do list.
I'll certainly be grateful for any and all of your encouragement and support as I embark on a brand new year in my Stampin' Up! life!
Now, let's get down to business! All week long, I'll be featuring the Toil & Trouble Suite with cards and projects that all your ghosts, goblins, princesses, and super heroes are sure to enjoy. Today's cards feature the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper with its bright colors and darling graphics as seen below. Be sure to download the PDF tutorial below.
Day 3 of our cruise took us to Juneau where Captain Dan and his crew took us on a whale watching excursion. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was unseasonably warm for Juneau with sunny blue skies all day. The boat was pretty fast so I also got to enjoy sporting my new Stampin' Up! logo jacket. We first got to see Orca Whales which apparently are only seen on about 10% of these tours, so that was a bonus! We also saw Humpback Whales, Sea Lions, and Bald Eagles. The scenery and views were incredible, like nothing I've seen before.
"The GoPro Girls" as our friends Bonnie and Bryan O'Neill call them.
After our boat ride, we ate dinner at the famous Red Dog Saloon. I loved the fresh fish & chips. We also each left our mark there as many others did before us.
Guess who wrote this?
Emily is a big fan of "The Office". Can you find her 'Dwight Shrute'?
The town of Juneau is quaint and fun with friendly people, great shops, pretty flowers, and gorgeous views.
Found this set of cards opened like this. Perfect for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator like me!
And to end the day, another awesome pillow gift from Stampin' Up! I do feel valued and appreciated with all this spoiling!
Something new I'm doing with my Merry Stampers Team of SU! demonstrators this year is hosting Creative Challenges by Mail. It's another fun way for us to do what we do best...inspire, create, and share with one another. It also gives us another avenue for sharing with you our customers great project ideas, color combinations, card layouts, and more.
I send everyone who signs up to participate in the challenge the same set of limited supplies which they in turn use to create a card. The are just 2 rules that must be followed. 1) They must use at least some of each of the SU! products I've sent them. 2) Any additional items used in their card creation must be current SU! products only.
This is what I mailed for the June Creative Challenge by Mail: A 5 1/2" x 2" piece of Nature's Poem DSP (Either side can be used); 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" card stock samples in Shaded Spruce, Grapefruit Grove, and Soft Suede; 1 Leaves Trinket; 8" Nature's Twine; and 2" Burlap Ribbon.
Now take a look at the cards my team members created. I'm always amazed when I receive their challenge cards. No two are alike, and all are unique and wonderful in their own way.
Which card is your favorite? Everyone on our team (whether they participate in the challenge or not) can cast an anonymous vote with me for their favorite card. The creator of the winning card, wins ALL the card submissions and a SU! gift from me. I also draw a random winner from the other participants to win a SU! gift from me as well as the card I created using the same supplies used in the challenge. (I don't enter my card in the challenge.) It's all so much fun!
Debby Price's octopus card was voted overall favorite card. I'll be mailing her all these wonderful cards and a package of Leaves Trinket Embellishments. Jenny Gilbert was the random winner who will receive 12 cut and scored card stock bases in Shaded Spruce, Grapefruit Grove, and Soft Suede plus the card I created shown below which the team did not see until I announced the winner of the challenge. I figure I can challenge myself just as I do my team. Best part of all these challenges is the sharing with each other and with our own downlines and customers.
I want to remind you of the fabulous Designer Series Paper promotion going on right now. Stampin' Up! has selected 10 Designer Series Paper packs (including Nature's Poem used in the cards above) for its Buy 3 Get 1 Free Promotion through the end of the month. You can mix and match, and there is no limit to the number of free DSP packs you can get.
Could you use a little creative inspiration and sharing of ideas? Do you like the opportunity to win prizes? Please consider joining my Merry Stampers team. I guarantee you'll have fun and make many new friends. Join my team this month and get 10 Stampin' Pads FREE. That's right choose a Stampin' Pad Family with the purchase of your 100% customizable Starter Kit.
