I sure have been having fun with sharing some of my favorite stamping techniques lately, and I’ve got another one for you today. I’m calling it the “Mask It, Stamp It, Add Sentiment” Technique. I know, not real clever, but a name you’ll be sure to remember and know exactly what to do with it!
My demonstration card features the fun Pop-Up Petals Stamp Set launching the first week of November 2025! If you like it like I do, go ahead and add it to your shopping list or wish list now! I’ve been using lots of fall colors in my cards lately, but for today’s card I’ve chosen a bright color palette consisting of Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party. All are such cheerful colors and perfect to use with this Pop-Up Petals card.
I do hope that you’ll give this stamping technique a try! In fact, why not give it a try today or set aside a little craft time to do it this weekend. After all, crafting is good for the soul! And don’t forget to make someone’s day by sending them a handmade card.
Dimensions for Pop-Up Petals card above:
- Card base = 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White front = 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Basic White inside = 5 1 /4″ x 4″

The card made in my demonstration is slightly different than my sample card above. The randomness of the stamping makes each card unique. The placement of the bow on each is different, and I added ink splatters to my demonstration card but didn’t on my sample. A few simple differences but terrific results for both cards!

The Mask It, Stamp It, Add Sentiment Technique sure does give a “layered” look with out layering card stock pieces. I love the effect of this clever, one-layer, simple stamping technique. It’s easy and fun and can be done with so many of our wonderful stamp sets. Just be sure to adjust the size of your mask to accommodate the sentiment or greeting you plan to use!
I can’t wait to see what you create with this technique! I’d love for you to share it on Facebook at Stampin’ Peace with Mary Knabe or in my Stampin’ Peace VIP Group!
Wishing you peace, joy, and happy stamping.
Mary Knabe
PS…Riley is having a sleepover with Grandma tonight! I can’t wait for the fun, laughter, and snuggles. What’s in the works for your weekend?
