I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I’m not always good at using my creativity and love of paper crafting for my own family. I’ve often focused so hard on building my business that I’ve pushed creating for myself and my family to the side. Over the last few years, I’ve worked really hard to change that. Why? Because my family will always be more valuable to me than my business. Not to say that my business isn’t a priority. It certainly is. But at the end of my days, people (me included) aren’t going to care how many stamp sets I sold, how many videos I made, or how many social media followers I had. I do, however, believe that people will remember how I shared my creativity with them as one of my love languages.
Soooo, as I’ve been scrapbooking family memories and making and sending more cards for my family members, I couldn’t not make something special for Riley’s 2nd Birthday. I asked Andrea what the party theme was and if I could make some banners for the party.
This is what I made and I’m feeling quite proud! I love how the banners turned out.

“Oh, Toodles” is a saying from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. It’s so cute hearing Riley say it. Andrea made “Oh, TWO-dles” the theme of the birthday party.
Here’s a close up so you can see the details of the banners better.

Stampin’ Up! products I used to make this banners include the new PARTY ALPHABET DIES and PARTY BANNER DIES and Sale-A-Bration 2025 Starstruck Embossing Folder. ***The Minnie Mouse silhouette and bow were cut on my Cricut Joy.
I also made this cards for Riley.

And this card with help from my friend Tracy Dahling who lifted Malley up onto a table so I could ink up a paw and stamp it! I’m not sure Malley liked it but she tolerated it and Tracy and I were happy. I used Basic White, Basic Gray, and Pretty In Pink card stock and embellished the cards with Pretty In Pink Bow and Iridescent Faceted Gems. The sentiment is from the Layered Thoughts Stamp Set.

This card was made by my sweet friends Laurie and Ashley Zock from Ontario, Canada.

More pictures of Andrea and Jon’s themed signs, food, etc. that made the Riley’s birthday party so festive and fun.

And last but not least, here’s a picture of the birthday girl. Funny story…Jon lit the candles and before we started singing Happy Birthday, Riley blew them out. So he lit them again and then she waited for us to sing. We didn’t even know she knew how to blow out birthday candles. It made us all laugh.

Thanks, my friends, for indulging this happy grandma. I know it’s not the usual project post but there was a lot of creativity that went into making Riley’s 2nd Birthday Party so special. Perhaps, you picked up some some party decoration ideas here.
As always, I wish you peace, joy, and happy stamping.
