CASE – What it means and how to do it!

CASE – You may or may not know what it means. If you don’t or are in need of some clarification or are unsure of how to do it, I’m here to help. With this video, I show you 2 cards I made by CASEing a couple Christmas cards I received. Shout out to Amanda Back and Tanya Jackson for your inspiration for this demonstration.

CASE has been defined in the following ways, but they all mean the same.

• Copy And Share Everything
• Create And Share Everything
• Copy And Selectively Edit

In other words, use cards and projects you’ve received or see on the internet, your community, Stampin’ Up! catalogs, etc. and make some changes to make them your own. Know that you are not “stealing” another person’s idea as it was shared with you. (If you do desire to copy someone’s card or project exactly, be sure to give credit to the creator when you share it with others through social media.)

Dimensions for Trusty Tools CASE’d Card above:

• Card base = 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ on long side, fold in half.
• Basic White inside = 5 1/4″ x 4″
• DSP strip inside = 4″ x 1/2″
• DSP = 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Card stock layer = 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
• DSP circles = 1 1/2″, 1 3/4″, 2″

Dimensions for Trusty Tools CASE’d Card above:

• Card base = 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half.
• Basic White inside = 5 1/4″ x 4″
• DSP strip inside = 5 1/4″ x 3/4″
• DSP = 5 1/4″ x 4″
• DSP circles = 1 1/2″ (punch 5)

I “trust” that you now have a good explanation of what it means to CASE a card or project you see on the internet, catalogs, etc. and that you feel inspired to do some CASEing of a few of your favorite cards, scrapbook pages, or other projects.
