Delivering Birthday Cheer

Today is a BIG day. Today is my daughter Andrea's 30th birthday which means I have been a mom for 3 whole decades. Honestly, it's been the best "job" I've ever had and title that I am most proud of. I didn't always get the mothering right, but all of it was done with great love. And when I see my children as adults, I couldn't be more proud of them and the raising of children that their dad and I did.

So since today is a special birthday for our family, I decided my Delivering Cheer card & gift bag would used for today's blog post. I love everything about this hanging card & gift bag and am excited for you to view the demonstration below. What I want you to know up front is that this birthday card was made with the Delivering Cheer holiday stamp set from our Mini Catalog. I love when I can find ways to showcase our holiday stamp sets beyond the holiday season. Doing so, we make our products more versatile and get more bang for our buck. Purchasing stamping and paper crafting supplies can get pricey so we need to find as many uses for our products as we can. (I sure am glad I have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator discount and save on all my purchases. Ask me how you can too.)

I think you'll enjoy not only seeing me create a birthday card from a holiday stamp set, but also how I use that same card to decorate a plain gift bag. It's 2 projects in 1.

I love the many different colors of Stampin' Blends we sell so I can so I can mix and match colors for just the right color palette for my project. I love all the bright colors used for this birthday card.

  1. Hi Mary!
I love the idea of attaching the card to the gift bag. Everyone at the event can enjoy the artistry and you don’t have to purchase a fancy gift bag either. Great work! Thanks!
    Happy birthday to your daughter!
