Easel Cards Made Simple

Are you like me? You like cards with a "wow" factor but aren't into making cards that take so much precious time to make? My Magic in this Night Easel Cards have that "wow" factor and are both fun and easy to make with my video demonstration. There are so many variations on the Easel Card (I'll show some in future videos), but this one is the most simple I think. So if you've never made an Easel Card, or even if you have, I hope you'll check out my video below. It won't be long before we'll want to get some festive Halloween cards in the mail to our favorite people and some who may just need a fun pick-me-up.

A couple of Easel Cards with a bit of magic in them. "Magic?" you ask. I believe there's a bit of "magic" in the limitless possibilities we have creating with  Magic in this Night Suite products from Stampin' Up!

The Cat Punch is a nice addition to the Magic in this Night Suite. Punch your Black Glitter Paper glitter side up, then again with the glitter side down to get cats facing different directions.

Easel Card fully opened. As you can see there's plenty of space to write a Halloween message.

The punched Story Label and 1 1/2" Circle each have Stampin' Dimensionals under them. These stacked labels are what hold the card front up as if on an easel.

So many details make this Halloween card spooky and a bit elegant too.

I cut the lacy bats on the following card from Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper with the Halloween Magic Dies.

I used the Metallic Mesh Ribbon in a unique way on the front of this card. No Bow. No knot.

I love how the bats seem to be "flying" off this Easel Card.

• Card base = 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", score at 2" & 4 1/4" on long side.
• Card front card stock = 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
• Card front DSP = 4" x 4"
• Inside of card card stock = 4" x 4"
• DSP strip = 4" x 1 1/2"
